Watching fish swim is one of the most relaxing things I can do if I'm having a difficult day and need to let my brain rest. I can see why Freddie loved these beautiful creatures. He had so many different varieties and sizes. I read somewhere that he would sometimes go to the edge of the pond and feed them right from his hand. How they must have enjoyed this tremendously! I wonder if they were able to swim in the pond all year long or had to be moved to warmer water in the winter? Thanks for sharing this video and what a perfect song to set it to!

@@iris67si I know it was a horrible tragedy at the hands of the person who was entrusted to clean the pond correctly. It breaks my heart and I can only imagine how horribly upset this would have made Freddie had he been alive.

You could totally get lost in the peace and tranquility of that garden! Freddie sure had some exquisite taste when it comes to backyard landscaping! I can only hope Mary Austin kept the landscaping up to the same standard after she inherited Garden Lodge from Freddie.

Koi fish can live up to 20 years but sadly all of 84 Freddie's koi fish died in 2002 due to a malpractice of an employee of the company which was doing lanscape work around the pond ... 😢 Koi fish were temporarily transferred into a tank and an employee accidentally turned of the electricity responsibe to provide oxygen... 💔😢💔
