RIP Freddie, saw him so this in Bournemouth, my dad said we were going to see him, I wasn’t impressed, literately ached all over after from laughing. Nobody has ever been as multi talented as him, my dad will forever laughing now with him up there. 🤪

Saw him twice in Bournemouth. Got soaked in water by him the 2nd time. Thought i was one of the Beastie Boys! Brilliant comedian. His "Vincent" routine possibly one if the funniest things I have ever seen. As for his Elvis impression (which was serious), Magnificent. A comedian very much missed. Never failed to make me laugh. Job done Freddie.

The Police didn't proceed with charges against him,"in the public interest".WTF does that mean?
@martinistakis18254 жыл бұрын
There was one particular account (I will say “account” as the alleged victim has said publicly several times that the prosecution of Mr S., was not on her agenda when she said on TV what apparently happened to her,. She simply wanted to demonstrate the prevailing culture among male celebs in the 1970s that objectified young lassies and the accommodating environment within which Jimmy Savile operated). The CPS deemed that the account that was made public by Mrs W., had enough evidence behind it “on balance of probability” to prosecute but it was NOT in the public interest to prosecute. It is vague. I personally took it to mean in this case that they felt the incident, had it taken place as recounted, wasn’t serious enough, it was almost 40 years before, Mrs W., had not set out to have him prosecuted, there was no evidence that Mr S posed an immediate threat to society in that regard, and frankly spending money on his prosecution would maybe in spite of the CPS’s belief that he did it, result in a Not Guilty verdict if enough of his supporters were on the jury. He did in fact from memory have a fair amount of public opinion on his side including from people who were not fans of his act, until he lost his civil case against Mrs W. The civil case looked at the same evidence as the CPS though to win or lose it is a lower standard of proof that is required. It is judged (literally by a judge and not a jury) on balance of probability alone and not “beyond reasonable doubt,” which is the criminal conviction standard. Judge Nicol said that on balance of probability Mrs W was telling the truth. This is why Mr S., lost the case against Mrs W and was ordered to pay Mrs W’s expenses. I am not qualified in this area but this is my interpretation of said matters.
