I met Freddy at the San Diego Airport around 1999-2000. He was waiting for the rest of the band to show up so I had about a 40 minute conversation with him. He was very nice and we talked about riding our Harleys. He talked about his Knucklehead Harley and how he loved to ride it. I was working in law enforcement at the airport at the time when I met him. He was a real down to earth guy and invited me and my fellow officer to be his guest that night at his performance at Pachanga Casino in Temecula. Unfortunately we both had to work early the next day so we just thanked him for his kind offer. Looking back I should had gone even though I would had been tired for work the next day. I missed a once in a lifetime chance. Freddy was much thinner than I had seen him on TV but I did not know he was sick at the time. Sorry that he passed he was a nice guy.

The first time I heard teardrop I cried so hard. Since then I fell in love with him and after I googled him and found out he died, I cried all over again. May his soul rest in peace in our Lord JESUS CHRIST precious Name amen. GOD bless his family 🙏
