Hi Lizzie, I would say it really depends on size of child, Freddy is now 7 and has been on a 20" for well over a year. Try and have a go on one if it's possible. Children grow so fast it's sometimes better to size up.

Hi hun, I have a tall 5yo who I would like to get a bike, but I’m tossing up between the Otis 12.5 or the 16. I think he’ll get used to the 12.5 a lot easier but I’m Worried he’ll be too tall or outgrow it really quick. Do you think a beginner could start on the 16?

Hi Sophie, It really depends on the size of the child. I think a 16 would be fine as you can adjust the power to suit the rider. one thing I would say is do not use stabilizers. You could get a second hand 12.5 use it for a while then sell it on at hardly any loss if you are worried that a 16" is too much of a jump. Freddy had a balance bike then 12.5 on to the 16" here, then 20lite is now riding the 20" but tomorrow will try a 24" its all about fun with us and the Oset bike are an amazing introduction to two wheeled motorsport. Darren Amis you’re a legend! Thanks for getting back to me so fast. He’s riding a peddle bike absolutely fine so the balance isn’t the issue. He’s considerably taller then his mates, even though he’s younger. I think I’ll go with the 16. We’ll save the 12.5 for his sister next Christmas.

Hi, cool boy. I asked me if me 4 year old son can drive the 16", cause he was driving a 12.5" But i think the 16" is perfect or 2 or 3 years to. How long can you drive with 1 batterie pack 30 min, 60 min?

Hi, I would say the size and ability of the child determine the bike size. You can adjust the power, speed and response to suit the child. Standard batteries would give you upto 2 hours depending on how the bike is ridden. Lithium batteries will give you 4 hours.
