@@frederikboving I am also looking at the Z6 as a replacement to both the D5500 and D750.. why have 2 cameras when 1 is enough and can do it all better than either camera? And then you have the manual experience for the Z6 as well! Thanks again! I like the easy to read/simple way the Z50 is operated. The Z6 look similar but not quite as easy to read. (with aging eyes) Either way, the D5500 is missing a command wheel in the front which makes it a pain to use... Thanks again.

Frederik, any thoughts/comments about using the FTZ adapter and possible issues using a tripod? And any insight into an l-bracket (with the shorter leg on the grip side) available for this camera? Or any decent brackets at all? This camera is on the small size and having a bracket makes a grip more comfortable for some shooters. And using an l-bracket and possible issues with the FTZ adapter might also apply? Appreciate your (or other subscriber's) feedback. Thanks, Chris

Hi Chris, sorry, no experience with this camera and tri-pods / L-brackets. I've always enjoyed the small size and ease of portability and a tripod would counter that. Hope others will chip in with some tips and suggestions.

Hej Thomas, mjahanaaj ikke rigtigt. Jeg tænker bare at ægte "manuel" mode er også med manuel ISO, ellers er det jo et semi-automatisk mode. Du kan sagtens slå auto ISO til, men nogle gange går den "amok" hvis man ikke passer på. En af fordelene ved spejlløse kameraer er jo netop at de viser i søgeren hvis du har eksponeret forkert, og det går lidt tabt hvis du slår auto ISO til, for så kompenserer den alt hvad den kan via den enene parameter. Og man ender ofte med grynede billeder. Men det er helt op til dig - smag og behag, og her er vi alle forskellige.

HiTessa, neither can I! If you hit the "disp" button in the bottom right of the rear LCD, then you toggle through the different display options. One of them shows a histogram - that is the best proxy for the focus indicator that I have been able to come up with.

my camera when i use manual mode it very dark.exposure its under.i cant adjust exposure .when i open flash its clear. how setting it?

Hi Shanaka! (1) Try to open up the aperture by going to a lower F-stop number, you change the aperture by turning the front command dial, if you got a modern Nikon lens mounted (otherwise turn the aperture on the lens itself). If you have a zoom lens, try going as wide as possible, as that allows you to go to lower F-stops if the lens has variable aperture. (2) Try to give the camera more time to expose by turning the rear command dial. 1/80th is a good place to start, but you can go down to 1/10th just to see if you can make it work. The rear LCD should give you a preview of the image + bottom right there is a scale that indicates if your image will be over or under-exposed. (3) If this doesnt work, try to ramp up the ISO: hold down the ISO button (just behind the on/off button) and turn the rear command dial. You can go to say ISO 800 without getting grainy pictures. Hope this helps, otherwise you know where to find me! All the best!
