Fredrik Thordendal's Hermansson rebuilt Mesa Dual Rectifier!

Just had Fredrik Thordendal's Mesa Dual Rectifier back in for some updates and installment of six voicing switches. I rebuilt this amp for Fredrik and installed the Hermansson 4 gain stages circuit in 2022. The amp also has my tightness controls and the new extra features are 3-way bright switch (both channels), 3-way tight switch (both channels), 3-way mid boost/gain boost switch (global) and 3-way more mids switch (global).
Guitar straight into the amp, running through a Malmberg 4x12 with old greenbacks.

That's the thing though. This is not out of the box tone. The tone is absolutely unreal, yes but there's an argument to be made that a significant chunk of the recto DNA is gone. You gotta buy a recto, which ain't cheap and then pay for the mod which ain't cheap either. That said this is one of the best rhythm tones I've ever heard. So that's pretty sick. Lol

I change the behavior of all preamp tube stages and the voicing for all preamp stages to achieve this sound.But it's possible to get pretty close to the original rectifier sound with the controls set up in their loose setting, but my preamp design is much more dynamic for guitar volume clean up.

I change the working point for all preamp tubes and change the voicing between all stages, also changes the voltage for all preamp tube stages so it's a Hermansson 4 gain stages preamp and not a Mesa preamp anymore.
