It's because the mastery says it's ment to be used on "friendly troops" and the Super Mini Pekka is not a collectable card therefore not counting as a troop for the rage mastery

I think because if a troop has 1000 health and super mini pekka hits it, it only deals 1000 damage

When the casual challenge came out, I completed it so fast and just found out afterwards that you can complete your guards masteries in this challenge🙃, it did upgrade 1 level, though I was devastated that I didnt know since before I played the challenge.😢 But thankfully there is the same challenge but with losses and I got to finish the last level of Pain’s An Old Friend🥳 Tip: To get the mastery done quick, do as what OJ did in this video, SAVE your guards to defend your opponent’s super mini pekka (and if possible make sure the guards dont die instantly so the opponent’s mini pekka could get maximum hits on your guards)👍🏻

Well you can still use Boat Battles. When the thing explodes and kills your troops, a single Guard with shield gets you like 40K or something. So cycle a bunch of them when it explodes.
