You were with us for the wind and cold weather in the OBX last week. We're so excited to tell you that we've finally found warmer weather, but it took us driving to southern GA/SC and Florida.
We can't praise OnX Hunt app enough. We hope you don't get tired of us telling you how we're finding these spots. We first look for WMA, NF, TVA, BLM, and other types of federal land. Then we research the guidelines and the routes in for each particular place. We have no reason to keep sharing, besides the fact that we genuinely use this app every day we're on the road.
I'm 3 for 3 on fantastic waterfront places to stay for free (our favorite price!) We're also so excited to finally be in Florida and we can't wait to share the highs and lows that come over the next few weeks.

Chihuahua nation here! Pablo looks fabulous as usual! Pedro, Bandito and Rosita say to keep a close eye on our little buddy Florida = 🐊 so be careful! Rosie’s favorites time of the day is morning when I collect all the tiny tennis balls she has bounced downstairs. She takes them all to her bed and then plays with them one at a time until they all end up downstairs again. Pudgy little Dito loves when mom opens the refrigerator and he gets a snack and Pedro loves bedtime and always wants to go into the bedroom in hopes that I will pick them all up and put them in the bed - they all sleep with us too! Family is the best! I lost my mom last year (4 months ago now) and I miss her every day! Treasure your mom and the time you get to spend together! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😘 🐾🐾🐾

If been watching some of your videos now that I have been going down the vanlife rabbit hole. I love that you are showing daily life like taking shower and cooking. Those are very important aspects for anyone considering doing this. I’ve been coming to Florida for almost 20 years and the one piece of advice I have is watch the locals if they are freaking out about something then you have no reason to be freaking out about something like if it starts raining in the middle of your beach day Floridians won’t pack up their stuff and leave because they know it’s going to pass in five minutes and then be sunny and bright again or if you don’t mess with the alligators the alligators won’t mess with you

Protip regarding your mushrooms: you will enjoy them more if you stop washing them with water and instead just brush off any dirt with a mushroom brush or even a dry cloth. Mushrooms absorb water even worse than sponges, and if you cook them after just dusting the dirt off they will be much less slimy and much more enjoyable.

Hello Mariehose` and Chase, Happy New Year Friends!🎉 Marie, I have thought this so many times before, you seriously need to make your own Cookbook!!! I would love it! I am Vegetarian and love Vegan recipes too. Marie I would like seeing a couple from both of your parents, of their favorites from their own life. Fair play, Southerners do have some Vegetarian, perhaps Vegan recipes, so Chase, what is your parent's favorite recipes that is Vegetarian/Vegan? Add them and your most favorite of your own concoctions. No one makes Grilled Cheese Sandwiches the exact same. Spill it! 😂 Chase, you definitely have to give a review of each recipe and an explanation of the name and the pronunciation, especially for the average American. I imagine this would maybe be too much to wish, as for finding it under the tree for Christmas 2021, maybe 2022? Marie, you have a beautiful Momma! She's obviously a great Cook! Hi Ginny! Happy new year as well! We think that's a fantastic idea, and not too difficult for us to tackle. It's funny, since we've been vegan, our families have found ways to veganize some of their favorite dishes. We've thought for a while to make a recipe book with a mix of some of our southern staples and some Venezuelan staples as well. Heck, we put together a nearly 70 page van layout in less than a week, so we should be able to tackle a recipe book for starters. We love the idea of breaking down the dish, describing the food, and explaining the name as well! Thanks for the ideas and now we just need to start implementing them into practice. I like it that you wash your vegetables even in the van. Many vanlifers don't wash... how do you see it? Is it hard to waste water for the fruit and veggies wash? Thanks

We both strongly believe in keeping our food clean before cooking it. I think a lot of it boils down to if they were raised washing their veggies or not.
