Toda raba for these viedos, they're helping me big time in my hebrew studies. I wish you mad more of them! Best wishes!

Hi beautiful sister! I'm learning Biblical Hebrew now, and because you are such an amazing polyglot and teacher, I purchased the Palestinian books and dictionary by J Elihay several years ago, as you were so kind to share! I would love to know what Hebrew dictionaries and books you are currently using. I love how Hebrew and Arabic are Semitically related and have so many things in common that it's easy to learn the other if you've already learned and have foundation in one of them.

Very cool that you are learning Biblical Hebrew! And I'm glad that you liked the Elihay books :) Morphix is a really great online Hebrew-English dictionary. I haven't really used any textbooks since I took a Hebrew class in college but we used the Hebrew from Scratch series. And yes, knowing one definitely helps in learning the other. There are a ton of shared roots and the grammar is similar in many ways, even though Hebrew grammar is WAY easier than MSA grammar.

Have you ever thought about using a reconstructed Hebrew pronunciation, given that you already know Arabic? I find that would be kind of cool, because unfortunately, modern Hebrew has lost most of it Semitic sounds.
@thelanguagelife79623 жыл бұрын
Can't say I have, lol it would feel strange to me.

@@thelanguagelife7962 Oh ok, got it haha. I asked because I saw a video of Bahador Alast on Yemenite Hebrew. Their pronunciation is quite interesting, as it's preserved all of the consonant sounds of ancient Hebrew.

@@thelanguagelife7962tell us about yourself. I think you are an Arab Israeli (Palestinian Israeli). When I heard how you nailed Levantine Arabic so good (and it’s difficult for non native speakers to learn in that good when they didn’t learned it when they were young) I said you must have parents at home who spoke it, but then you speak Italian so good, and your English is perfect. Now I’m curious but my bet is still on you being Arab Israeli. Reply here, no need to announce it in a video, am I correct???

Which language do you think is easier hebrew or arabic
@thelanguagelife79623 жыл бұрын
If we are comparing Modern Standard Arabic to Hebrew than definitely Hebrew. If we are comparing colloquial Arabic to Hebrew than I think they are more or less similar in difficulty, but the lack of resources for colloquial Arabic makes it more difficult I think.
