Ha, Solo adventures have their distinct advantages too! Still happiness, plenty of it. No compromise. Sometimes company, sometimes not. Go with the flow.

We ride on together don’t worry! Good to each have a break from each other though on such a big trip. You got to enjoy the company to spend 24/7 together for months and believe me we do! It’s not for everyone though and I’ve seen a few bike touring channels where the couple starts the journey together and it doesn’t work out. This is all part of the adventure of life! 😎⛺️👍🚲🚲🌴

You’re welcome Jersey Joe! I had a great time on this one, rolling on my own for a while, enjoying the simple life 😎⛺️🚲🌴 Nice to have someone to ride with though especially when it comes to the end of the day having a cold one and recapping the events - when I ride on my own I tend to go further and don’t take as many breaks either!! 😎⛺️👍🍻🚲🚲

Thanks Sid! I loved my trip to this part of the world. Bristol is a big city with lots of industrial heritage and brick buildings & for me this is super interesting and very different from where I come from in NZ. More excellent adventures to come for sure!! ⛺️🚲🚲👍

Yes I think being alone in a strange land after months being together 24/7 has some effect. It’s always good to have some time alone and find a different type of adventure! ⛺️👍🚲🚲🌴😉

I think those bales are just being stored there, that's why they are covered in plastic. If they had just wrapped the bales they'd be sitting in a brown field, not a green one.

Yeah the grass was really green and lush. I was worried about a tractor coming through since I could hear them working late into the night in surrounding fields ⛺️🚲🚲👍🍺

Mr West! Congratulations on the 1k!! Yup saw a few of the nice pieces of street art in Bristol, there is so much on offer in the downtown area, and just up the hill there’s a nice campsite charging 6 quid a night which is very good value for England. Zeeburg camping continues to be one of my favourite pay camping sites I’ve come across so far, since I always meet the coolest traveler’s there!! 👍🚲🚲⛺️🌴🍻

Sometimes it's best to just ask the locals if they know a place to camp. Often they invite you back to camp in their garden, or they suggest a better spot.

Good tips 👍 I actually met a few nice locals and interesting people on my ride. Had a super nice day swimming in the Avon at a much busier spot than shown in the film. I’m a pretty independent traveller so don’t often go stay with people I meet. Most people have their own time schedule and I’m not super good at being hosted - just got to meet the right people with the same values I guess! Love meeting other travellers on the road but often people don’t like to appear on film- would’ve been a much more interesting video if I did. The girl rider on the racer bike on the ride into Bristol had a flat tire I stopped a while to help then we rode together to the city and she showed me the cool spots. This kind of thing happens pretty often actually, it’s one of the great parts of bike travel!

Could have easily been crushed to death by a tractor in that field. Wild camping is illegal because it's dangerous, you know it's dangerous because you are crapping yourself the whole time while you are doing it.
@hobocyclist
@hobocyclist Жыл бұрын
It cant be more dangerous than driving a car! Im more worried about being disturbed in the night since i could easily hear any vehicle approaching and the saftey standards of most farms include using lights when driving at night. Getting a good night sleep is sometimes pretty hard depending on what country im traveling in -France is always pretty good. Thanks for watching
