I agree. Those short close ups of clear and rippling water and flora add up to an inviting picture. Along with the soft strumming music. I spent a month camping around east Texas and saw my first wild boar. No gators though. Lost of USFS campgrounds in the area with half price for seniors with the pass. Though some leave a lot to be desired in terms of maintenance. I just don't know why these two don get fat off all the fantastic cooking. must be the yoga and weights.

Have a great birthday, Cody! I have to tell you two, I’ve been able to predict where you’re going to camp every spot since Corpus Christi. I tell hubby every week where you’ll be next, and he’s starting to think I have ESP. lol. We stayed at Rayburn in January 7-12 at the COE just south of your dispersed campsite, just before we went to Big Bend. It’s a beautiful lake. We’re back in Arkansas now over by Norfork while we get some work done on our RV. The pizza looked delicious! And I’m using up my last pack of HEB bacon this week as well. Good eats!

PS on H‑E‑B. Central Market is owned by H‑E‑B. The stores are huge… be prepared to spend several hours cause you’ll get lost in the produce, meat/seafood, dairy areas. Just 10 stores but 5 or 6 are in DFW area. Also in Austin, San Antonio & Houston.

A good tip on fishing, is when you see fish jumping. It usually means they are trying to mess with you, just keep the line in the water for a longer time without pulling out fast. And just wait for them but they are active so they want “active bait” so try and keep momentum. Idk if I explained that properly but when I went fishing, I stayed in my boat for 4 hours watching the fish jump around and not even one bite :( but some guy told me that trick to do. Cause I guess they were out for only an hour and caught 4 fish :o

There are HEB in DFW. 1 in Burleson, 1 in Waxahachie, 1 in Hudson Oaks west of FW and about to be 1 in Mansfield, Those are all "in" Fort Worth. I'm sure there are some in Dallas. Wait until you get off into a Central Market which is HEBs "food boutique". 1 in Fort Worth, 1 in South Lake and i believe 2 places in Dallas. I know how you feel about them. My 1st experience was in Fredericksburg in 2001. They were in an agreement with the other grocers that they would not expand north back then. So glad that ha sexpired.

Weird things about weather affects the flour to which yes in turn affects dough. Humidity especially. Those biscuits look great! My grandma uses to save fat from bacon to use in many things. I think you are super resourceful and smart using a cheese grater. It beats cutting it in little pieces.
