I live at over 9,700 ft in Colorado. A few months ago I promised to never again complain about the Rocky Mountain weather after 2 feet of snow on June 1st, put out a scary nearby wildfire. Let it snow, sleet, rain or hail as long as we have no wildfires. I know y'all have been here before but enjoy Colorado. I'm from Alabama I moved out here 10 years ago to go adventuring. Colorado has not disappointed me. I LOVE it !

When you live in a tent, you will have all kinds of surprises from nature!! You are getting very experienced in dealing with the surprises. KELLY! You were a real trooper jumping in and taking care of things, keeping the awing in good shape and then going right back to preparing dinner as soon as it was over. Girl, that is exactly how ya do it!!! WTG!!!!

Camping is hard work in the most ideal conditions...so to get through that and still be content with your Dome Life is admirable 💚🌲Just always know your followers are envious of you😉it's been so dangerously hot in Arkansas that you can barely tolerate doing outdoor activity and it's DEPRESSING. So...this is the excitement of our week😊

Your shrimp alfredo looked so delicious! I am completely impressed with you cooking away in a thunderstorm, taking a break to dump the hail off your awning, and back to cooking dinner! I don't blame you at all for going to high altitude. I've been on my trip for a month now and I've only had 3 days when it was under 95 degrees!! I think I'm 2 or 3 weeks behind you. I was in Rocky Mtn NP camping at 8,000 ft and it was still 90. Black Hills very hot, one day of heavy rain. Badlands - forget it. I was supposed to be there 2 nights, but left after 1. 103 and 105 is just TOO HOT. Enjoy your cooler camp!

Hard to say if it's a young moose or not. Their antlers are just starting to grow and by fall will be huge. Antler size this time of year is no indicator of age. But they are extremely dangerous ! Hope your not in grizzly country which parts of Colorado have. Be safe and keep the videos coming.

I would like to suggest that if you can lower your wrap around tarp legs by a few inches you might not have the build up of rain, sleet, etc on the tarp. Hence you won't need to worry about pushing off the excess build up of wetness that tends to be a problem. By the way, I absolutely love all the nature you include on your videos.

I live in Pagosa Springs, CO at 7,400 ft. As I watched this blog it is 73F and mostly cloudy. It's been raining most days for 3 weeks with more to come until who knows when. Lived in CO for 45 years and have never seen the monsoon rains come so early and last this long. Have also had some very hot days for here this summer. Climate change? What climate change..... Have a good and safe stay in the beautiful mountains.

I encountered a huge, beautiful moose with a tremendous, velvety rack of antlers in Bangor Maine when I was camping. I was was walking along the trail next to our campsite and he was in a cul-de-sac eating grass in the water. He raised his head and I just looked at him, mesmerized. I slowly walked past without any incident. I wasn't afraid and apparently he wasn't alarmed. Thank God, because he only had one way to go and that would have been toward me.

Crazy weather ! The dinner looked great in spite of the obstacle of hail and rain. The footage of the moose was awesome. My biggest fear would be to come in contact with a bear. Don't forget your bear spray when hiking since it looks pretty remote there. You both looked so cozy in the tent. What a great way to spend the evening watching Netflix all cozy in your tent. I love your tent and the lights inside are magical.

Over 20 years ago, while traveling from Kentucky to California, we saw a young bull moose at a remote rest stop in Colorado. The combination of awe and fear was intense! Also you are such a trooper and an excellent multitasker to cook during that storm! Much love and happy travels! -Hedy

Well, I was definitely surprised! I can't believe y'all r all the way back to Colarado! That was quite the rain and hail event! Glad the hail stayed small! I was wondering if y'all missed living in a house during times like this. . . .hot, cold, rain, lightening, thunder, wind, hail and then u answered my question Cody there at the end! You wouldn't want to live any other way! Yes, I think that y'all are Blessed to be able to live life the way u r! There is just no comparison to the daily grind of daily work, traffic, crowded sidewalks, streets, gotta get here or there, go, go, go, so many people! Then, get up and do it all over again! Super cool that you had a moose in camp! Kelly I just wanted to let you know that that olive oil you loved is on the list of fake Olive oils. California Olive ranch is real and Aldi brand of extra virgin olive oil is certified real too. Make sure the bottle says certified real or go online and look up the brand you want to buy first to make sure it's real. We are getting ripped off so bad. Beautiful beautiful video just love it! PS you guys, there's been crazy weather all over the country this summer many tornadoes high winds hell you name it. I live in Southwest Pennsylvania and it's been really hot lately and terrible storms off and on. Supposed to rain here for the next three days. Weather goes in cycles and this is just one of those years.
