A trick I used to say water Boondocking is to have a one or 2 gallon pitcher in the shower and run your water in the picture until you get it to temperature. Then the next morning when you have to go number two you feel the toilet bowl with water from that picture instead of using fresh water from your tank.

As someone who has traveled quite a bit all over the country… One of the best things I have found when changing climate and elevations to keep from getting a cold, or having issues with allergies and sinus, is something I bought a few years ago, called a Navage. It’s a motorized sinus rinse device that runs on batteries. You put distilled water and salts into it to create a saline, rinse that it pumps up in your sinuses and rinses out all the gak. It really has kept me from getting sick for about five years now

Generally, if you can find a UPS or FedEx store, you can get Amazon packages shipped there and held for free. But only if it’s a company store, not if it’s an offbrand franchise. You might have to have a FedEx or UPS account in order to be able to get them to hold the package for you but that’s something you can set up for free as well.

We’ve seen the RV Snap Pads but since we use the yellow blocks under the jacks, just haven’t seen a huge need for them yet. And we really like the shower head we installed in this video, better than the oxygenics one we had in our last RV! (I think it has a lower gpm rating than a lot of the oxygenics brand ones too)

For the DC area, you should check out Little Bennett Campground, which is owned by Montgomery County in Maryland. It's about 20 miles from DC (up I-270), and is big-rig friendly. It even has four pull-through sites. It's a bit on the pricy side for a public campground at $75/night for non-residents, but the RV loop is full hook-up, and the sites are very generous. We're usually there 3-4 times a year.

I spent my summers in Mancos, near where you boondocked. It was an awesome place back in the 70's and 80's. Been on the DSNGRR many times and have always ridden in the open gondola cars. Nothing like the experience of the water vapor and coal smoke/cinders blowing back on you. Some of my family members worked on the excavations at Mesa Verde back in the late 40's, which I think is pretty cool.

I preferred the KOA North, last time I heared it was Durango Riverside Resort. I also stayed at Haviland Lake and Vallecito Reservoir (Despersed camping) which I enjoyed the most. All I ever had was a pickup and a camper shell, primitive camping.

I just recently found this channel and absolutely love it. I’m sure you’ve heard this before, but you guys have the IT. FACTOR….. One other thing since you guys boondocks so much, you might want to pick up an extra water pump, I’ve been using my pump almost a year now as I do the same thing you do fill my freshwater And use the pump instead of hooking up to a hose even if I have hose bib nearby. I do it mainly to keep my water fresh, but also like the constant study pressure. Good luck guys ,,,,beautiful RV

Nice! I see you have the DJI lavs. If you’re like me it looks weird to have it in front of the shirt like that. Quick tip (from a video production guy)… grab some self stick sports tape and wrap it around your chest Craig (hope I spelled that right) and attach the lav to that with the clip. Voila hidden lav under a T-Shirt. Victoria if you got the dual set you already have a wrap around your chest so clip it to that 😊. If you get some noise from it rubbing against the shirt they may have come with some furry filters to attach to them (Deadcats); use those to cut any noise. Looked like some great views! We are definitely putting this on the list of places to visit for our fam. Cheers!

@stephenpolis1689 You're right about changing the oil more frequently. The previous owner of my 2012 Ram 3500 diesel was changing oil once a year or about every 10-k miles and the engine developed sludge. I pulled the valve cover to adjust the valves at 145-k miles and that's when I saw it. Fortunately the sludge was as soft as warm butter and cleaned up faily easy.

Thank you!! This is the rack we use, we got it from Lectric too and it’s really great. It allows you to lock it to the hitch of course, but also locks the bikes onto the racks too! lectricebikes.sjv.io/zNyDmW
