pretty cool my job is 5 miles away so after work 10pm, i stay there for 30ish minutes and essentially cost only my time to sit there. i'll bring my laptop and play some fps while it charges

Lots of near free or free level 2 chargers in my area. I'm wondering how they would feel if I regularly park my car there for 6-8 hours every day to recharge my car on their trickle chargers. Some of the car dealerships near me have them available. When I drove thru their lot I got lots of dirty looks wondering what I was doing. It was like they never seen an EV before.

The first thing is, I don’t know anyone who would do that, unless of course you lived next-door, and you can just walk home or you were employed by business that you could walk to or take a public shuttle to work while your car is left charging. So the only reason I would use one of these chargers is that I found myself in some type of emergency, and I just needed enough charge to go to a Tesla SuperCharger, and that has never happened as Tesla has continued to build out their network of SuperChargers. Thanks for the video. A new to Tesla. I used a free Chargepoint station next to me in Amazon parking but when I came back, Tesla App Charging Stats shows $3 spent. Does Tesla or Chargepoint still charge you even if says it's free? I am confused. I also charge my Tesla using regular outlet in the parking garage thinking it's going to be free but then the app shows $5.

You just need to go into the app settings and set the cost for other charging as $0. Then it will reflect in the app

One additional step required is to enable NFC on your phone to activate charging session. I typically have it disabled normally so I would have to go out of my way to enable it.

Why can’t you just unplug the car and unlock it to stop charging? You literally have to tell it to stop?
