Free Craftsman GT3000 Repairs and mowing

So I found this GT 3000 on the side of the road last year with a free sign on it. So naturally, being a junkyard dog, I drug it home with me. One hot battery later and it ran perfectly! Since that time I gave it an oil change, tune up have ran it without any issue until now. Lets get it fixed and take her out for a spin.

Yes they are! Im not a big fan of the Hydro trans, But I really lucked out finding this 6 speed Hi/Low unit! And for free!

Thank you ! Mowing grass is a stress reliever for me, really clears my mind and puts me at ease. The truck, tears up my nerves and stresses me back out, but its a love hate relationship haha!

I’ve got one of those Mazda millenias. It’s a 1999 and has 130k on th clock 2.5 v6 runs like a top never had any mechanical issues. What a fun car to drive. They seem to be rare around Texas I don’t see any other than mine.

Good to see flannel man again and I always do backyard repairs it I have enough junk around I can make work. I have a Snapper conventional deck mower that all the pulleys, belts, throttle cables etc are still readily available and cheap so I just keep replacing things as they break because it has a excellent drive setup that works well.

We've had a long dry spell, our grass is just about dead and dried out. Which is OK with me, I'm ready for cooler weather. Looks like the shop has become a regular spider, mantis sanctuary. No need for Halloween decorations, nature has taken care of it for you! 😄

I wish I could drive my lawn tractor that fast. I tried, but between the rabbit holes and holes my german shepherd dug, I popped the bead in the front tire. Repaired it with a tube.

My dads got two of those but i think his are a little newer n larger. One has a briggs power plant the other a kohler or whatever. Kohler one is dead so its parts the briggs always fires up. We had to change some pulleys and a cable to emgage the blades and dropping those decks can surprisingly difficult lol

Knock on wood this Kohler is great, and the PTO is electric so no cables to fool with. Overall a good machine!

@@MXguy95 ours was probably neglected by its previous owner so its probably just a poor example. Yes they arent bad. I prefer the mechanical ptos. Not a big fan of pixie powered controlls tbh.

Please don't turn a nice Garden tractor like this into mudding or racing tractors - too many people still need these for lawn car. In 1999 this was a $2,000 machine, putting it right up there with most quality John Deers, Simplicity and cub cadets. This was Husqvarna's top of the line (made for sears). For racers and mudders please use cheap 11hp MTD or Lawn Chief machines
