I liked watching you wrestle a new front axle onto that machine, see, it wasn't so hard, but it sure was fun to watch! Nice that you swapped the wheels too, cause I didn't much care for the wheels that already came on that front axle replacement. Good on you for lubing up the deck engagement, replacing the carb, adjusting the valves, as well as put a charge on the battery. She cleaned up nice, ready to make someone happy lol.

You’re doing great in business now and it was a good move for you 😊😊. Just keep buying all winter and stacking them up 😮. It’s money in the bank like cash 😊

This was a great turnaround. I'm surprised the previous owner didn't buy it back.

He had a Husqvarna that he bought last year I believe and no longer needed this one. This was nice for sure! Didn't even have to list it to sell it again.

He must have taken good care of it and he can bring his new one to you for frame repair kit soon 😊

A broken cast iron front end Glad you got it fixed up and running again with the new front end

Only seen one broken and he dropped it while unloading out of pickup bed, he sold it to me and I put other front end and rebuilt deck and everything, year later he bought it back 😊😊😊

What a weird configuration. It has a relatively powerful engine and six speed rear end, but a tiny cutting deck. That's a lot of power for such a small mower.

You scored on this one. I would have been happy with the $300 alone. Both of the machines are on common platforms, so the parts alone are worth at least twice that much, even if you don't repair and resell them. You easily made a grand on this deal. I would take that deal any day of the week.

Tip: 1st step get a leaf blower and blow all the debris off before you start to work on it.

I didn't do any trades, but my personal best on a free mower was $425 profit on a Craftsman R1000. I just had to put a steering gear (of course), and a tire. I sold it for $500, and I only had it listed for a couple of hours.

I had a friend recently "give" me a Yard Machines riding mower on the same platform and I think the same engine as this one. He said the motor was locked up. I agreed to take a look at it for him. If the motor was junk, then I keep it for parts. If the motor is repairable, then I fix it for him. When I tore into it, I found that two of the magnets on the flywheel let loose, and they destroyed the stator and broke two of the posts on the block that the stator screws into. I JB Welded those back in place and I think it should be fine, but it has been sitting for a few years, and needs several other minor things, besides the flywheel and stator. I have some of them in my parts stash, but I struck out on the flywheel (part # 215700). It is not produced anymore, and I cannot find one for a reasonable price anywhere. Do you know where I can find one for a decent price? This is a 17 year old discount brand machine, but it is in immaculate condition. The paint is perfect, even on the deck, and the seat looks brand new. I would really like to put it back to work, but it isn't worth enough to invest a ton of money into it, so I'm kinda stuck.

Boy you lucked out on that one, I have a few dozen front ends and only replace one in 20 years lolol Guess Texans are not that hard on them 😮

You can fit just about anything in a vehicle if you get creative. I drive a Honda Fit subcompact, and I have gotten all types of machines in that one.

I used to have a Honda Fit. Those cars can fit almost anything! I loved it!

@@EllisMowersandmore Mine has been owned by members of my family since it was new. It is an '08 model with 117K miles on it, and it has only had a windshield, 2 sets of brakes, 2 sets of plugs, 2 batteries, and 2 sets of tires in it's entire lifespan. It has never had a single non regular maintenance part replaced on it. The current battery that is in it is 11 years old, and still going. It is the most reliable car I have ever owned.

I think your van might have a bad tie rod end. Could of been from something else, idk. But when you turned at beginning of vid, I heard a clunking noise.
@stellarproductions8888Ай бұрын
Yes, it could be the tie rod, but it easily could have been a bad suspension strut as well. A professional assessment is required, to determine for sure. Other then that, I think Ellis did good on his van purchase. And it cost him far less then those new infinity vans, or whatever they are called with those tall roof's, and weird looking front ends.
@EllisMowersandmoreАй бұрын
I just replaced the tie rods, pretty sure it's the drive axles. They are on the list to be replaced.

Why don’t you get a cherry picker to help you lift stuff, boy your back is going to be a reminder that we warned you many times 😢😢😢 Please listen ❤

That's what I use. LOL I think you could lift the entire tractor off the ground if you wanted to. Anyway makes working them so much easier.

It's got a Powermore, and you don't know why it was parked? lol I wouldn't resell a machine with a Powermore, even if it done run. I wouldn't take the risk.
