It clearly does and people clearly make money off of it, it's just risky so it requires a little bit of money, it usually takes money to make more money, businesses cost money, education costs money, getting rich is like a staircase, you start at your first step with a 9-5, build up a small sum of money, then put that money somewhere that helps you earn more money.

Great introduction, very clear and concise. Being interested in Psychology and behavioural economics, you mentioning psychology has got me even more excited to learn day trading. I became aware of the stock market when I was about 14, and though knew almost nothing about the stock market, I began paper trading. I made £15,000 one day, and £30,000 the next (not real money), obviously, a young teen doing this and seeing the amount of money they made quickly becomes overexcited and impulsive. After just a week of paper trading, but still with zero knowledge, I was ready to jump into using real money. Luckily, I lost £45,000 in my paper trading account, which stopped me right away, and I dread to think what would have happened if I opened up a real account! I'm back at 19 years old to do it the right way!

Well good thing you paper traded first! Using real money is a completely different experience than using fake money because of the psychological factor. Paper trading is great for learning the technical strategies but once you start using real money go really slow to start working on the psychological strategies. Be aware this could take months or years to get down

Others like large caps and some trade specifically one type of instrument. They all trade differently so it’s important to know the characteristics of the instrument you trade. Well technically, a high quality trade setup can produce itself at any time of day, but what we see the most occur is during the first 2 hours. And yes, this still applies today in 2023

There are a few free ones but they are either very basic or the data is slightly delayed. Webull, Think or swim and Tradingview have free platforms. Tradingview is what I personally use for all my basic strategy testing since I use them for my actual charts when Live trading. Their paid plans are one of the cheapest out there for the quality you get. tradingview.go2cloud.org/SHoj
