@@pedroramos235Hello! I have a very important question. I'm currently torn between voting for Jill Stein for Green, or Chase Oliver for Libertarian. They are both socially progressive, but their views differ economically. Most Libertarians are fiscally conservative, but I don't know if that's "good" or "bad." My question is, which would you recommend? Thank you in advance!🌈☺️👍

@@connorschronicles810 A central distinction is how each looks at the role of the Corporation and of Corporate Power - the biggest problem ppl have w the Duopoly is their bipartisan Corporate-based policymaking, driven by the big-money sponsorship these parties receive - you may want to see the follow up debate between Jill Stein and Lib candidate Lars Mapstead, on Free and Equal Twitter Space - - Jill Stein and the Greens are very clearly opposed to Corporate Power, and they even refuse to accept big money sponsorship - Libertarians speak against big gov't, but are less clear in their view of concentrated private power and its role - you may also want to look at Javier Milei, the Libertarian president of Argentina, to get a more direct view of Libertarian policy-making

@@connorschronicles810I can answer for him- The libertarians have some of the most developed and reason based economic policy. It’s well though, with no inconsistencies. I would totally recommend

This was an outstanding and well-produced debate! The five candidates talked about problems that Americans are currently experiencing. And they treated each other with civility and respect. Additionally, moderator Jason Palmer 'beat' Joe Biden in the Democratic U.S. Presidential Caucus in American Samoa this week!

Would advise that the video have additional search terms and tags includedin its description. This video was not immediately available in searches unless you searched for Free and Equal specifically, searching third party presidential debates brings you to NTD channel and stream of this debate instead. In any case this debate was exactly the type that needs more eyes on it, truly one of the most gratifying to watch as it felt like listening to people who truly saw issues with full intent to solve them. Probably the largest pool of candidates that I have had mostly agreements with in my entire existence. I personally would prefer Proportional Representation over Chase Oliver's push for ranked choice which is also a reasonable alternative. The way I see it, in a nation so massive with many differing ideologies and a massive voting population, proportional representation seems to me a much more prosperous concept. Perhaps a combined effort of both formats even.

Side note, given how hard the system already makes it to run third party, I am kinda embarrassed by the fumbles during this… I noticed they allowed Jill Stein to make a rebuttal twice in a row and said they were figuring out the rebuttal rule as they go. they also announced that she was going first before giving the question, and when they asked a yes/no question everyone agreed on, she was first to be allowed to give a long answer

Just curious, does anyone know why the People's Party is not present? That outburst at 11:55 was concerning. Also curious if Cornel West, Cenk Uygur, Marriane Williamson were invited. Free & Equal Elections, can you provide any insights here? If so, thank you!

The organizers ran a poll including all presidential candidates, asking ppl to name their top 8, and then they invited the top 7 who'd received the most votes - Cornel West and RFK were both invited, but never showed up

@@connorschronicles810 Idk if I'm necessarily qualified to offer recommendations lol, but I have a few well-researched views. I like Chase, but my fundamental problem with Libertarians is their combative stance towards government. I think they miss the main point, which is that government regulation is the only thing preventing capitalism from completely wiping us out. Government has grown as a direct response to the corporatization of America and the need to regulate it. If they remove regulations and shrink government, it will accelerate exploitation (more trafficking, slavery, union busting...), income disparities, ecological destruction, pollution, climate change, etc; because the "free" market has no regard for things like sustainability, equity, conservation of resources, social justice, etc. So I'd vote Jill Stein easily. It's also worth noting that the Green Party is consistently ahead of the curve on social issues; it's taken decades for Libertarian candidates like Chase to catch up to where Jill Stein was back in the 90s. Also, remember that with Chase as president, the rest of his cabinet would not necessarily reflect his social progressivism. It would probably be the opposite.

probably the only specific position i would disagree with is jill stein's anti-nuclear stance. luckily chase and lars followed up with some very solid representation of the latest tech and science. someone on jill's staff should do some quick research on nuclear technology, she's actually very outdated on the topic. Kyle Hill is probably a good place to start, guy has been following nuclear power issues for a while. if an actual accredited nuclear physicist who works in the nuclear industry is preferred, there's Elina Charatsidou.

Jasmine and Claudia both seem insane. Like the types who would kill everyone with whom they disagree and not think twice. Never trust political systems built on Envy, Rage, and Fear. What they're discussing is no less than an authoritarian regime ... nuts Chase Oliver has the answers, and they're built upon freedom, reason, and human productivity. (Lars did great as well for this same reason)
