I started layering it into my compost pile which is mostly leaves and yard waste. Collect it, and pour into the middle of the chicken wire fenced in pile, and then water in heavily. We'll see how it works.

Proof that Google is always listening and populates my video feed accordingly. Just yesterday I proudly showed my wife the rich dark green section of grass that I have been peeing in explaining the benefits of urine as a fertilizer. She said she wished I hadn't told her and was otherwise a combination of unimpressed and grossed out. I'm glad that at least you get it : )

💡🚽💵🪴LOL!!!!!! I love that you are trying it on the pea teepee; thus, turning it into the pee pee pea teepee! Wow! Try saying that fast three times! - Way back during my zero waste days, I used my pee as fertilizer because I read about it in Bea Johnson’s book ZERO WASTE HOME, and she used it on her citrus tree. I can’t remember what my results were, so you know, I’m going to have to try it again!!! I remember that she said that the most potent one of the day is the first one in the morning. Also, that will be good for me since it’s the only time I will get a chance to do that. I will have to tell the fam to not drink out of the old Talenti container shoved behind the toilet. Do you think they will follow those instructions? Haha!!! - Thank you so much for the controversial, yet brave, and edgy and fun info!!! It’s true that God didn’t make us to be at odds with nature! We were meant to thrive in it, and we can thrive in it and should thrive in it! Let’s nourish the earth and let it nourish us right back!

I will have to read that book, I don’t know if I can live 100% zero waste but I love to see some ways I could do more! I dunnoooo….anytime I see a talenti container behind a toilet I’m awfully tempted to drink out of it 😂😂😂 so kidding! You should def try it on your citrus trees again and document any differences you notice, that would be fun!

Add some wood ash to urine and it is very close to the nutrient value of commercial fertilizer.

The only problem i would have with that is all the salt that also gets peed out , i know i can kill weeds when i piss on them hehe and it has to do with the salt i believe ?

It’s would take alot to do it though, and it would prob have to be undiluted. With this method you add 10 parts of water to it, also you wouldn’t want to do it everyday maybe 2 times a week? I def had great results this year from it 🙂 to be safe if you want to try it, maybe have a control plant and an experiment plant?

This would not be for everyone. For example many people would be adding very toxic chemicals into an organic garden. For example my urine has chemo in it. Would not use mine. Maybe if you are young and healthy it might make some sense.

Yes, as most things in life every situation or solution has nuances attached. I think most people would be able to judge if this would be a healthy choice for themselves and their garden, like you have. Thankfully there are so many other fertilizer options that you should be able to healthily use in your garden😊
