Look at how "aware" Sage is between the first and second round. First, he is in great shape, and has a lot of talent and athleticism. 2nd, he has a quick and sharp mind, (from a great upbringing imo). He is 100% aware of what his coaches are telling him, and eager to listen. He even asked a question to fully understand, and then he got it. The kid has tremendous athletic skills, and a very well rounded game (both striking and on the ground, but more in striking to date imo). Add to that a mind that can soak up new concepts very quickly, and if he is durable enough, (which we have not seen--because he is newer, and has good talent), I think we will see him do great things in the octagon, and also great things in engineering (what he is studying in college as he fights) when he is done fighting. For all you guys who think Sage is not "hero material", lets compare your life with his now, 6 years from now (where I think he has as good of a shot of greatness in the UFC as anybody else), and 30 years from now, (with what he achieves with engineering), and we will see who accomplished more with their lives. Who is the "Hero", and who is the "Zero"? Or is that really the reason why you hate Sage, because he is a good role model, (I have jokingly said I think he is "Captain America's" grand son) as you refuse to chase and develop your own greatness? It is not the critic, who points out where the strong man stumbles who matters. It is the man in the octagon, (the man at the head of any profession), who are the hero's. as long as we are free to choose our own path---the hero can be any one of us. It's a choice. Sage is hero material, and only people who don't want to try to be a hero in their own right--will hate that. It is the "pitiful" side of human nature.

Let me put it this way, If I had a 19 year old Daughter, I would much rather she date/marry a guy like Sage Northcutt that any loser who bad mouths him. :) Guys like McGregor may pull a big draw by acting all WWE, but Sage can make a good draw also, by adding some class and dignity to the sport, that people like McGregor tear down. The beauty part of being a good person is not as much about looks, as it is attitude, but he will be hated for both, and it's sick. Sage Northcutt has class. I would rather respect that, than some tatted up big mouth any day.

EarthSurferUSA No you're not getting it. No ones denying the guy is an incredible athlete and a decent guy outside of the octagon as well. HOWEVER judging from his fights he hasn't been impressive against legit opponents and has a padded record against cans. He's got a massive push due to his looks and age which is fair enough but of course people are gonna criticise him because there are guys who are much more talented and experienced who haven't had the same opportunities as him. It comes with the territory.

why do people sort of complain and say oh he hasn't fought anyone good yet. He has to start somewhere by fighting lower level opponents. And work his way to the better fighters. Even if his opponents are so called bums or cans as some say. Hes beating them so for now hes better than a can. He has a lot of potential. He has athleticism and a karate striking background. Закрыл замок когда тот уже почти отключился от усталости=) Еще я не понял прикола с тем что парень забрал спину и сам же 2 раунда просилдел опираясь спиной о сетку, не пытался растягивать почти, зато 2 раза пытался со спины выти на рычаг руки, что сложнее в 5 раз, против такого колобка в скрученом состоянии.
