I have been to Rome many times. My favorite thing is to just meander around. So much to see for free. I would also include the Are Pacis and the Tomb of Augustus. Outside of Castel Sant'Angelo and Via Borgo. I know it is not free, but I really love Ostia Antica where you can spend a whole day for a truly nominal fee. This was an exceptional video. Good job. Maps were extremely helpful.

I won't be planning any international travel just yet - but... It has been SO nice to saunter about in Rome with you, albeit only virtually. Arm-chair travelling is good on a Saturday morning. (And your list include many of the places I would have suggested as well. Though my top tip for Rome will always be: If you walk past a church door that isn't locked, go inside! Not for religious reasons, but simply because there are so many surprising and wonderful spaces hidden behind sometimes slightly less-impressive facades. You never know what you might miss... But of course do so respectfully; dress appropriately and keep your voice down.)

Fantastic video guys. Thanks for sharing your knowledge of Rome with us. I’m curious are all those attractions close to each other? Could you go on foot to visit most of them? I want to visit Rome this summer and want to to take my daughter and her mother with me but my daughters mother is desperate to NOT go to Rome if you can believe that. Her reasons for not wanting to go is she thinks Rome is all about religion and she’s not religious and also how expensive it is. I tried to explain theres so much more to Rome than religion and you don’t need to be religous to appreciate the history, art and beauty of some of the religious places and that I myself am not religious and that Romes actually cheaper than Edinburgh where we visit regularly. She just isn’t buying it. Any ideas of how I can change her mind? Again thanks for the Video guys.

Thank you so much for your comment. Yes all the attractions in the video are walking distance. Actually you can walk pretty much everywhere in downtown Rome. Rome is so much more than religion, actually we think that religion is a very small part of the attractions in Rome. There is so much history and art all over the city. We posted a couple more videos about Rome you can those to her and she will see that there is A LOT more to see in Rome 😃

love your video? My husband and I are coming to Rome on September 19th. My questions: 1. is it allowed now to sit on the Spanish steps? 2. I cannot decide if to buy tickets for the vatican museum 🤔 we usually do not like museums. Hello Tova, thank you for your comment. Last time we were in Rome 2 months ago was still not possible to sit on the Spanish steps. Regarding the Vatican Museum, buying the tickets for the museum is the only way to see the Sistine Chapel. If you want to see that you’ll have to go through the museum.
