Titanium, magnesium, sulfur, and radon are all solids at room temperature. D. Radon is a gas at room temperature Skip to question 2: 7:50 2. H2CO3 molecules are composed of two H atoms, one C atom, and three O atoms. H2O is also composed of H and O, but H2O has two fewer O atoms than carbonic acid does. CO2 molecules are composed of one C atom and two O atoms. Which of the following statements best describes the chemical reaction represented by the equation below? H2CO3 → H2O + CO2 A. H2O is reacting with CO2 to make H2CO3. B. H2CO3 is decomposing into H2O and CO2 C. H2CO3 acid is decomposing into pure H2O D. C atoms were created during the reaction, resulting in more C atoms in the products. Skip to question 3: 18:27 3. The standard heat of combustion is the energy released when a substance undergoes combustion, with excess oxygen at standard conditions. A scientist determined the standard heat of combustion for 5 chemicals in kJ/mol. She lost the data for chemical 4. The data: 1 = 1167 2 = 3393 3 = 3268 4 = ? 5 = 1527 Mean = 2088.2. What was the heat of combustion for chemical 4? Skip to question 4: 30:00 Questions 4 through 6 refer to the following paragraph and diagram: The following Punnett square shows all the possible combinations of alleles for color in offspring pea plants when two-color hybrid pea plants are crossed. A capital P represents the dominant color (purple) allele, while a lowercase p represents the recessive color (white) allele. A combination of two dominant alleles results in a purple phenotype. A combination of a dominant allele and a recessive allele also results in a purple phenotype. However, a combination of two recessive alleles results in a white phenotype. One parent’s alleles are seen on the left-hand side of the square, and the other parent’s alleles are seen on the top of the square. The genotypes of the offspring are shown in the boxes. 4. To only grow purple pea plants, which genotype would you NOTwant? A. Pp B. pP C. pp D. PP Skip to question 5: 35:30 5. What is the probability that the offspring will be white? A .25 B .50 C .75 D 1.00 Skip to question 6: 35:30 6. What is the probability that the offspring will be purple? A .25 B .50 C .75 D 1.00 Skip to question 7: 38:32 7. Below is the chemical equation for photosynthesis in plants. 6CO2 + 6H2O reacts in the presence of light to yield C6H12O6 + 6O2 Which of the following is correct based? A. H2O and CO2 are produced B. Sugar and O are the reactants C. CO2 and H2O are the reactants D. Light energy is not involved Skip to question 8: 40:53 8. The data in the table below represents the highest daily temp in Hawaii measured over a 4 day period in degrees F. Day 1: 86 Day 2: 87 Day 3: 87 Day 4: 86 Formula: C = (F-32)x5/9 Skip to question 9: 43:41 What was the temp on day 3, measured in degrees C? 9. Which of the following is false based on the information provided in the diagram? A. Sugar is synthesized from CO2 and H2O B. During the Calvin cycle, CO2 is captured and converted into sugar. C. Light energy is converted into chemical energy that gets stored in sugars. D. H2O is released as a waste product. Skip to question 10: 49:00 10. In the 4th century, scientists believed that the Earth was the center of the Universe and that the Sun rotates around the Earth. This model is known as the geocentric model. The model was supported by the observation that the Sun appears to revolve around the Earth once a day when a person watches the sky from anywhere on Earth. Additionally, the Earth feels stationary from the perspective of observers on the Earth. Nicolaus Copernicus developed the heliocentric model in the 16th century. Copernicus proposed that the Sun is the center of the Universe and that the Earth orbits the Sun. Shortly after, Galileo Galilei used the telescope to gather evidence confirming that Copernicus was correct. Today, scientists reject the geocentric model and hold that the heliocentric model is correct. Which statement most accurately summarizes the passage? A. In the 4th century, scientists believed that the geocentric model was correct. Scientists today still believe that the geocentric model is correct, and reject the heliocentric model. B. In the 4th century, scientists believed that the geocentric model was correct. Today, scientists now believe that both the geocentric and heliocentric models are correct. C. In the 16th century, scientists believed that the geocentric model was correct, but they believed that the heliocentric model was correct in the 4th century. Today, scientists believe that both models are incorrect. D. In the 4th century, scientists believed that the geocentric model was correct. Today, scientists now know that the geocentric model is false, and accept the heliocentric model. Hello everyone, I took the Science test yesterday and I passed with a score of 155. I have to say that, in my case, most of questions were about scientific experiments, dependent and independent variables, and graphs. I was hoping to get a higher score cause when I took the practice test, I scored 167. But that practice test had more graphs, statistics, and short passages than the actual test. Still, I’m happy that I passed and will continue preparing for the Math and RLA tests. Good luck everyone !!!

I took my GED tests for english, science, and history these past two weeks. I passed them all but i did study with KZbin videos for the math GED test because i was never good at math when i was in school. I plan on taking my science GED test tomorrow. Science was never my strong suit either so I'm going to study with this video and other videos to refresh my brain because i haven't been in school for a while. Some tips that helped me pass those 3 tests was that i studied only KZbin videos (because they are way easier with explaining the subjects) like 1 day before and/or the afternoon before the GED test. I know this method isn't for everybody but it helped the information stay fresher on my mind because i tend to forget a lot. Also i did pray and then i was calmer and i was able to focus better. Guys just try to be calm, don't freak out or doubt yourself, negative thoughts are not good. Also take your GED tests closer to morning times because you will feel more motivated and get lots of sleep, and don't stay up to study, study in the afternoon so you can get sleep. Don't take them in the afternoon because if you are nervous, the anxiousness of having to take the GED test will get to you and build up throughout the day and make you extra nervous. Also drink a lot of water and clean your study space/room at home because it will make you feel less anxious and don't forget to eat. Anyways, good luck everybody on your tests, I pray that you do very good and that you pass

Passed today with a 158 using the online proctored version. Wow. Thank you so much for these! In my experience, the majority of my questions were about physics. You aren’t told “find the mean median range or mode”, in any case for me. There were a couple of punnet square questions that were more complicated that the traditional ones we’re used to. The chemical equations only asked me “what the symbols between represent.” No balancing, nothing of the sort. Almost no life science questions. I was hoping for majority of life science in a hope to carry myself not knowing much about physics. I was hoping for college ready, but passing is passing! Thank you so much, Parker!

Question number 3 can be solved in a different way as well, which would be to add all the known numbers (1167+3393+3268+1527) and divide the answer by 5. We get 1, 871, we notice that this number is not equal to the actual mean which is given as 2088.2 and that is due to the missing number X. So we subtract 1,871 from the given mean to get 217.2 and since 217.2 was not included in the original division by 5 we multiply it by 5 to get 1,086 our answer. So its basically sum of given numbers/total number of chemicals, minus the given mean, times the total number of chemicals

I came to US 15 years ago and since i was already 18 i couldn't for obvious reasons go to high school and also wasn't able to graduate high school in my country, it took me about a year and a half to be able to write ,understand and basically communicate in English. Right after that I started GED classes but was offered a full time position at work so i eventually ended up quitting school when I was 20 years old .Back to 2022 after a Brain Injury I really wanted to test myself and see if I was still able to learn so I started studying for GED again, ended up quitting again. It wasn't until this year that i went back to studying RLA I studied for about 2 1/2 months and passed on my 1st try, 2 weeks after that I took the SS test and passed on the 1st try and now next week I'm gonna pass Science test .If I could do it anyone can do it, don't be discourage for the daily life stressors ,this year i don't try to push myself too much ,last time at the test place the person in charge told me "you have so much confidence" I told her well the way i see it I'm doing this as a personal goal to get better opportunities I don't gain anything for stressing out. So if i feel a little burnout or stressed I take a break because at the end of the day this is something I'm doing for myself

i took my social studies GED, it was actually the first one i took and i didn’t study at all, if im being honest! it was really easy- when i was testing i was sure i was going to fail, but most of it is just common sense- it’s mostly passages, much more than memorizing anything.
@turkishdelight45014 жыл бұрын
@@court.4899 I took social studies the other day too. As a foreigner I was very concerned about it, US history stuff etc. As you said though it was very very easy, I got 182, so that's probably not too bad.

@@dizlilgrl Great work, congratulations! I haven't made any social studies videos yet, but here's one that I recommend on another channel: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZqnfpyNeq5gpNU. It's called Getting the Right Answers on the GED Test - Social Studies by David Cohen, who posts a lot of great GED videos.
@rashdagger39665 жыл бұрын
@@dizlilgrl Firstly, congrats, and secondly, although I'm no expert in GED social studies, I did make a 162 on it. Here are the two sites I used to study: bestgedclasses.org/ged-social-studies-classes/ quizlet.com/310395187/ged-social-studies-flash-cards/ While I was able to answer most questions via the provided passages, familiarizing myself with the concepts helped a LOT. And there were a couple of questions where I had to rely on background knowledge, but those were geography based. Well, best of luck to you, and if you have any last minute science tips, I'm all ears.
