Very practical lesson…easy to understand, however many lawyers still using old style legal drafting, the more confusing, the more over polite…the most reckoned as a reliable lawyer. I wish someday I can come to England to join your English class.

Dear Nadezhda, Many thanks that you are following our channel and lessons. Thank you also for your question. The British constitution consists of a number of documents which together form a Convention as to behaviour be the 3 arms of the government. This gives greater flexibility but also uncertainty the people are divided 50/50 between those who want a fixed written constitution and those who like the flexibility.

I sincerely thank the Professor for the interesting lesson. I am a practising lawyer. Some of the phrases presented are not old-fashioned, on the contrary, they are still often used in legal transactions. However, don't you, Professor, believe that the parties in legal transactions do not always want to simplify the legal vocabulary, e.g. the parties want to describe in detail every activity related to the contract to which they are a party?
