Hi There. Thanks for this video tutorial. One thing I don't understand is how yours is normal and then glitches, so you can make it go on and off. In my case once I applied the effect this is persistent in the whole clip. -Any sugestions on how I can take the effect off at times? Thanks.

thank you for the comment :) you could cut your clip up into sections and only apply the effect to the small section that you want it to glitch

I love it but i only have one small complaint... Theres no resting mode on it. I want my project to glitch at a certain key frame but it keeps glitching the whole time. i tried putting the size down to 0 but it only uncenters my clips.

Maybe you can cut the portion of the clip you want to glitch out into a separate clip, then apply the glitch effect only to that portion?

Hey, I really love your work! Could you please make a video about performance problems in Davinci Resolve? Because on my PC the program hangs again and again and it is impossible to work like this.

I think one of the problem with Resolve is that it seems once the effects being applied exceed the computer's power it just crashes, unlike after effects where your machine just slows down more and more. Also I have heard that the free version of resolve is slower than the studio one :( not sure how true that is since I only have the free version.

@@thaiphotos yes, I heard that too, but I cannot guarantee that it will work. Some people also talk about Optimized Media, but it doesn't work for me... It makes me despair😅

the free version doesnt have an hardware acceleration so its rendered using only your cpu. the paid version integrates the graphics card aswell. thats how I understand it anyway. this makes editing 60fps footage very hard if you're using the free version. i had the same problems haha

Maybe if you right click on the clip that has the glitch applied and turn it into a compound clip, then freeze frame the compound clip when you want it to stop, that might work.

For some reason, this is not rendering out properly for me. It works as shown in this video when I view it in DR but when I export the video, the glitch does not appear. Any advice on what may be causing this problem? or maybe its a problem with the version of resolve that I have.

@@thaiphotos Yes I did, my pc was running low on space though. I freed up about 8gigs so I'm gonna try it again and see if that helps. The effect was glitching but not entirely, it starts and then the logo becomes static, I don't get the full glitch as when I'm previewing it on the edit page. .
