Will this work with shopify draft order attribution? Most of our traffic comes from lead gen. We use draft orders for quotes, but they are attributed as direct traffic.

To confirm: Does having the Google and KZbin shop app already and adding the Tag Manager script on customer events create duplicate views on GA4?

Google and youtube app does not add Tag Manger. But it is best to remove all the old conversion actions in Google Ads, or at least set it to secondary. Also, a new version V1.07 is available here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kGXZfJ18iJ6oqZY

Apologies if this is a stupid question but is the standard 'Install Google Tag Manager' code still required? The one you usually paste in the tag. I followed to a T and can't preview/see any code at all.

To use enhanced conversion tracking GTM is required, yes. And yes, you will not see any data because Shopify runs in sandbox mode for privacy reasons.

Thank you Emmanuel, I've set it up and it works on my store! I've subscribed your channel too! I have one question, I saw you left the "permission" setting at the pixel as default. What if I use a 3rd party cookie banner? Do I leave it the same. Because I still haven't seen "consent mode is active" yet.

Thank you Emmanuel for sharing the tutorial. It's been 24 hours since I installed it but it is not showing conversions. Also, I did a test purchase. In tag assistant, it is showing 'Google Ads Shopify Pixel Conversion Tracking By FeedArmy' - not fired.

Tag assistant will not work, because Pixels run in sandbox mode, which means no developer tools will be able to see the data. If you continue to have issues, I do provide an installation service, you can reach out to me at [e-mail]

Awesome but could you point me in the right direction to extend what you've done here and add all the possible Shopify events and push them to GTM then to GA4 and Google ads. It seems logical that people will want to capture everything we can and pass it through. e.g. payment_info_submitted, checkout_address_info_submitted, product_added_to_cart, checkout_started, checkout_completed, product_removed_from_cart, cart_viewed, product_viewed, collection_viewed. I think I have a rough idea but not 100%. A fully function bit of code would be amazing but any help would be really apprecaited.

More events will be added next week or so. GA4 will be added at some point as well. It requires a lot of coding.

on line 3 and 13 i get the error Unexpected '‘'. I there replaced the quotations with ' '. The error then dissapeared can you comment if that has a possibility of ruining my pixel?

double quotes or single quotes are fine. I will test the code again, but I am not aware of an error atm. But will check the next update.

Thanks for putting this together. At minute 4:39 within Google Ads, you select "Use different values for each conversion." This now says, "Use the value from the Google Analytics 4 property." It then doesn't give you the "Use Google Tag Manager" option. I'm stuck as I can't find the Conversion ID. Did I do something wrong?

You need to toggle to Google ads option, just after you enter your website URL. Or instead just type in example.com to avoid auto detecting.

Thank you for your great video Emmanuel :). It seems I have an error on the conversion value tracked in my google adwords. In fact, the conversion value tracked seems to be the product price only, and not (product price - discount + shipping fees). Do you know why ?

Yes that is correct, the conversion value will be product that is being paid. The discount should be applied. But the shipping fee is indeed not added. Why, for my business I ask clients to calculate ROAS based on the final price excluding shipping. And because including the shipping fee, does not support multicurrency based on my testing.

You are right, the product price is without discount, however this is for line items, not the sales value. I will investigate and edit this and launch V1.07 next week.

Thanks a lot for sharing the tutorial and codes! :) Could you tell me should I set this conversion to be secondary because I turn on conversion in Shopify Google & KZbin app, or should I turn it off in the app? I am not sure about the difference between these two conversion way.

It should be primary. The google and youtube app has frequent bugs and conversions will randomly stop, that is why I created my own code, so it's no longer reliant on 3rd parties.

No you do not, if it doesn't work, something might be wrong with your shopify configuration. Assuming you have installed it correctly, I would not know what your issues are, and best to contact Shopify why pixels are not working. A previous client, had a misconfigured domain setting which caused issues.

Thank you for the video. I followed all the steps and performed a few test purchase transactions. However, I got the error message 'This conversion action wasn’t detected'. When I click on More details, it shows that I have a Legacy tag for UA-##### detected. Could this be causing an issue? How to remove this legacy UA tag? Thanks!

Please note that Shopify Pixels don't show when using GTM preview tool, console logs, or tag assistant. Shopify hides all of this. Meaning you have to wait 24 hours before you can see the results in Google Ads.
