People need to understand that frozen produce goods are as good as so-called 'fresh' ones. The so-called 'fresh' ones have to be picked at the farm, packed up, transported to the market, sold, maybe even stored in the fridge for some time period before finally being used. Meanwhile, the frozen produce are packed at peak-ripeness or peak-freshness, however you want to say it, and sold at supermarkets. The freezing locks in the nutrients. Eating dried foods, pickled foods, cured meats, even canned goods are all options. So, even if people can't access supermarket-fresh produce, they should be able to easily access preserved produce which can be just as good. Of course, the best produce are the ones that grow in your own home garden cuz they are hand-picked by you at the time of ripeness. If they are eaten on the same day, then that's super-fresh produce. If you didn't use pesticides or anything, then you can say you eat organic. I suppose people can just grow tomatoes in clay pots or maybe some green beans in clay pots, and they could put the vegetable pots on the apartment balcony. It would be a 'balcony garden'.
