This is a hilarious movie with a beautiful story, a lot of "reference movies" come across as lazy cash-grabs, and I was worried that this would be one of them, but it was the complete opposite. You could remove every reference and still have an amazing movie.

This movie was made over year before it was released, and the date on Jack’s videos in the movie date late 2020. His dad passed late January this year. And the movie was supposed to be released 6 months before his dad passed. I get your sentiment but still.

Everything about this movie was so good: It was filmed in Boston first of all, Chris Evans cameo, Caps shield, Hulks fist, Avengers theme, a lightsaber, Star Wars theme, Infinity War poster, tons of references and meta jokes about game development and other stuff, the game was literally based around GTA, Ryan Reynolds is the perfect person to play an NPC, it had the portal gun, GMOD gravity gun, so many things
