It was really good, however the idea of actual sentient artificial life is a little scary to me, because a lot of people are lousy at creating things, it would be a shame to have a sentient lifeform be miserable. But to end on a positive note, Star Trek TNG and Voyager also a good job of talking about the idea of artificial life and the morals surrounding their treatment, with Data and then with the holographic Doctor.

You can’t hate a movie that starts off with Disney actually laughing at themselves, where it’s such an original script and storyline around intellectual property (imo), and where you honestly feel sympathetic toward NPCs, for once.
