You're welcome! I don't have any other Japanese instruments right now except a den-den daiko, but I have some other Asian flutes and a Chinese Pipa in the works.

Hi, there is a text link in the album on bandcamp, but I've just added it on my ko-fi page here which may be more straightforward: ko-fi.com/eamonc/shop

Which version of Kontakt should I use for this? Both version 6 and 7 give me an error when I try to load the nki files (could not be loaded File format is not supported or corrupt )

It should work on anything above Kontakt 5.8, but NI are notorious for deliberately employing version incompatibility as a sales strategy so they may have changed something in newer versions. Which download did you use? if you got it from ko-fi try the pianobook one, and vice versa. i’ll try to reupload if neither one works.

@@EamonCoughlan Thank you so much for the fast response. The ko-fi one works no issues on both Kontakt 6 and 7, I'm loving it so far, and really appreciate the work you put in. I also saw on your page that you were making a sample instrument of a Bandura, I can't wait!

that’s weird because the pianobook version definitely worked at one point based on the reviews there. maybe files have become corrupted with them changing servers or data structure.

does this work on the free version of kontakt?
@EamonCoughlan9 ай бұрын
it will run in demo mode. it’s effectively impossible to make free things work on free kontakt because native instruments charge the instrument creator for it and nobody can afford to pay those fees for something they’re not making any money back on, unless it’s a big company offsetting a free demo version against profit from the full release.

how do i install
@EamonCoughlan Жыл бұрын
You need Kontakt sampler software, install that, run it on a midi track in your DAW and then open this instrument (.nki file) via the 'files' tab in Kontakt. There are also raw wavs provided so in theory you could build the instrument in a different sampler, but it won't have any of the features like legato, looping, etc.
