Your apartment is sooo beautiful sis❤️❤️. I still need strength to film mine. I love that you put your phone in a distance sometimes so that we can see the full view, not many KZbinrs do that. I will definitely do that as well. Thanks for the tips❤️

Hi Koki thanks so much for the information videos! I’m wanting to apply to teach in South Korea this year. Please will you advise about the Hagwan process. I was initially set on doing EPIK but now I’m considering applying for to a hagwan rather.
@Koki_Maphelela2 жыл бұрын
Hi Jade! It’s a pleasure. The process for Hagwons is much simpler than EPIK, but that’s only because you do not need as many documents as you would with EPIK. However the process may be tricky because you need to find yourself a school, either through a recruiter or direct hire. So, like EPIK, your documents (Criminal Record Clearance certificate from the SAPS and SAQA degree verification letter) need to be apostilled at DIRCO. Once you’ve found a school, you’d need to courier the apostilled documents along with your contract, passport copy and 6 passport photos to the school in Korea or to the recruiter. From there, the school will apply for your VIN (Visa issuance number) which usually takes between 3 and 4 days. Once you receive the VIN, you’ll take your signed contract , health statement, TB X-Ray report and visa application form to the Korean Embassy in PTA and wait approximately 14 days (weekends included). Then yeah, before flying you do your COVID-19 PCR test (currently it’s set to 48 hours before departure but it can change so keep an eye for this) from there you should be on your way. I hope I have explained the process well and all the best with your preps to come here! 🌻

@@Koki_Maphelela thanks so much for this! Would you be able to recommend how to find a school to contact directly? Or even a recruiter that could help find a good school? Also what is the quarantine process when you get to Korea?
@Koki_Maphelela2 жыл бұрын
@@jadepillay86 the quarantine process changes all the time so being part of groups on Facebook will be very beneficial, there’s South Africans in South Korea group on Facebook. It will be beneficial if you join it. You can try to search for recruiters there. But I will make sure to make a video on this because I get this question a lot.

Hay Koki! I'm moving to Ulsan in the next couple of weeks. I'm a bit worried about finding clothes and shoes in Korea. Did you take all of the clothes that you are wearing with you? Or where do you buy your clothes and shoes?
@Koki_Maphelela2 жыл бұрын
Hi Nicole! So, everything I was wearing, I bought here. You’ll find what you need and more so don’t stress about that too much.

@Koki_Maphelela Жыл бұрын
Hi Rico, no I don’t live with anyone. I’ve never been asked to. Usually people who come as close friends or as a couple request to live together (if they teach at the same school). People usually live alone.
