Enjoy your experience teaching in Korea. I really enjoyed living in Seoul; it’s one of my favorite cities. I taught abroad for 15 years.

Your attitude and personality is amazing and I love it. It's so infectious. Like, I really have never seen someone have fun playing with their apartment XD I love you, keep that infectious attitude, please! The world needs more happiness! Earned my sub and I hope you stay enjoying it.

You are sooo positive. Your smile lights up the room. This would be perfect as a dorm room on college campuses. Perfect for a senior citizen living in an assisted living area.

Wow! I like that apartment! Presently, I am doing my Master's degree in Advanced Teaching. I have never taught before but seeing and hearing all about your appointment, I would like to come and teach English after my studies.

This is the best home tour video I've seen. Your personality shines through in your presentation and it is pleasantly refreshing. Good balance of information for the questions that I found myself wondering about. Beautiful space! Thank you for sharing. 😊

Hi Courtney, I am just curious but how did select good hagwons with good housing? Did you make sure they sent you pictures and videos before hand?
@courean Жыл бұрын
For this school, I had actually signed my contract before seeing photos of the housing (which I don’t recommend). I really lucked out with this place. It was in a newer area so the housing was very modern

Very enjoyable to listen to you. Don't know if you still live there, but have you thought of putting up a photo-rail? Such a system might be put up all the way up to the top edge between wall and ceiling and might not even be noticed by your landlord. It would enable you to put up pictures and art :)

I'm late to the party. Did EPIK / your hagwon set you up with this place, or did you use key money and get your own place? It's just that I rarely see foreigners in nice apartments. (But I haven't lived in Korea for 10 years. Maybe things have changed.)

I think it really depends on the area where you live. My area is a bit newer so all of the places are newer as well (and a bit on the spacious side too). It’s starting to get warm here so be prepared for hot weather!

How much it cost to buy a studio house
@cyenaelmore54893 жыл бұрын
This is sooo pretty, I’m doing a lot of research about studio apartments in Korea bc I want to get one and move over there but I don’t know how much money I would particularly need, and I would hope to get one like this and I know you don’t pay rent or anything bc ur got it for free as a teacher but by any chance do you know how much the rent and deposit would be if you did have to pay?
@courean3 жыл бұрын
Your rent and deposit would depend on what kind of place you're getting and where exactly it's located. I'm not sure how much the deposit is but I think the rent is somewhere around 500,000 or 600,000₩? Not 100% sure though

In Greece teachers are paying everything eternally!!!! Half of income only for rent and bills without anything else... e.x sale on tickets for ships or bus if your work place is away from your place... They decided 100euro more to the already huuuuuuge salary exra if workplace is more than 200km far... Shame on them!!!!! And for 10 years fired on summers and due to that no able to take a loan to buy a house for example...
