Free Mattress Review on Nest’s Owl by

Thank you for your informative videos. I subscribed to your site and would like to get a review of a particular mattress. I have been saving for a long time to buy a high-end and hopefully very comfortable mattress. I have been considering the Avacado Luxury Organic Mattress, King bed, with the Plush or Ultra Plus option as described on their website. I also will likely get the adjustable base. The bed would be quite pricey, and I was wondering if it is well made, as it should be for that price, and if it would be worth it. Or,could I get essentially the same bed, or even a better constructed one, if I get one custom made? Thank you!

I bought what is now called the Owl about two years ago, when the trial period was 6 months. It was the most comfortable mattress I’d been on for a long time. But about the time the trial period was up, I found myself in a wallow on both sides (I rotated it faithfully every month). The only place I could find the original comfort was to hitch myself onto the ridge in the middle, and the edge support became so soft that I had to launch myself onto the bed in order to get far enough inland that I didn’t feel like I would roll back out. I was unable to prove my claim by the ruler measurements, so was stuck with it until it became so uncomfortable that I got a futon instead. It’s not perfect either (a bit too hard), but it’s much better than what I had. I’m looking forward to a December visit to Spencer’s.
