I'm on a 16" MacBook Pro M1 Max and using motion blur really slows down the editing playback... kinda stutters down to a crawl. I know you said to remember to render out that section to make it manageable but.... what do you do if you're editing a long video and want to have lots of moments with elements/text sliding onto the screen with motion blur? Do you wait till your finished and then come back and add all that as a last finishing touch? Just curious how you manage it being so processor intensive....

Hey Jason! Yeah exactly that. I would add the motion blur right at the end when I'm almost ready to export. Then I render it to watch it before exporting.

@@Brad_West Awesome thanks! So.... how do you remember which areas to add the motion blur? I imagine you might have a lot of little animations that could benefit from it. Do you ever just forget or miss some at the very end?

@JasonParkerMagic It depends. If I’m going to be adding a lot of motion blur, I consider adding motion blur as the final step before exporting. If I’m not planning on adding too much motion blur, and I’m worried I might forget to add it, then I’ll add it with an adjustment layer and then I will deactivate it while I continue editing and at the end I’ll come back and just reenable those adjustment layers. I hope that’s helpful!

Hi Brad. What is the difference between your free plugin and the Pro version you have for sale?

The paid version of the whip pans have extra movements and versions of each transition with added motion blur. I’d recommend giving the free pack a try to see if you like them 😄🤙🏼

When I add the motion blur title to a vertical video, I get a black bar across the top of the screen. First project was fine, second project is where I have the issue. Thanks!

That's odd. It works on vertical projects for me and other people. What aspect ratio is your timeline and footage? Is it 9x16 or something else?

Thank you Brad for a Preset!, I have a problem with FCPX 10.6.1 and when Apply as effect in vertical video on FHD show me in the half bottom a black screen, do you know how can I solve this?

That’s a weird bug. I’ll have a look into that. The plugin should work on vertical footage just fine.

I need help:( when i add the effect. Video starts to loop at the middle of the video:(

Use the adjustment layer instead, that should help. Also, if the video is really long and it loops with the adjustment layer, you should be able to just keep the default length of the adjustment layer and duplicate it as many times as you need.

It's free. Do you see it in the Title Browser window but not the Effects Browser? Or do you not see it in the Title Browser window either?
