Arches are such a common element in free motion quilting. Sometimes we even do not realize that we quilt an arch. And they are in arches, flowers, crescents, Baptist fan, rainbows, and paisleys…..So let’s have some fun with quilting arches

Thank you for this supportive feedback. Quilting is not as difficult as many of us think. We can create great textures with simple shapes. After that everything else is just more steps ❤️❤️❤️

Hi there! I post my videos becasue I do not have the possibility to organize classes. I know that there are on-line possibilities, but with the time difference....and at the end you still have to practice. Sooner or later I will expand my offer but for now I am collecting teching expirience :) ❤️❤️❤️ And I am happy if I can inspire others ❤️❤️❤️

Then it is high time to start: basic rules, keep the expectatons as low as your skills, practice, have fun and never compare to others, unless to learn. Give you time and be patient. It is all about passion and creativity not perfection! ❤❤❤

Love this. I am trying to lease more free motion quilting patterns. I personally like a lot of straight line quilting but want to do more on gift quilts. This are great tutorials and ideas.

I think that these arches will require a brand new skill set - different (undeveloped) part of brain and new muscles. I can easily see needing a week or longer to do these well! Thank you.

Are you controlling the stitch length or are you using regulated stitch length?
@quiltingnerd
@quiltingnerd 8 ай бұрын
No stich regulator. I operate by listening to my machine. I like the constant speed then I can tune it out. The stiches come out nicely, as I move the fabric at nice rate. I keep it nice and slow.
