Dude, you've really inspired me! I'm 55 years old, and I've ridden most of my life, but I'm dying of cancer now. I quit riding, I have no energy, and I feel like shit all of the time, but, after watching you for a while, I've decided to get a bike again. The fact that I'm dying should encourage me to have more adventures, not less. You just reminded me that I'm not already dead.

“Snows for half the year” That’s news to me as a year round rider here in Portland, lol. It rains a lot, but it’s rare to get even a couple days of snow here, usually isn’t any at all. This will be my 4th year on a motorcycle full time, it’s a fantastic area to ride, we’ve got it all.
@DedHedJosh2 жыл бұрын
I'm another Josh from FL. I didn't realize this until my buddies moved up there. Your weather is actually similar to ours in North FL in the winter...and it's actually warmer on a lot of days too. Definitely a misconception about the NW for people from the south is that it snows all the time in the winter. Not sure why we almost all think that way. But we do until we find out that it's not like that at all.

I'll not only ride it home but give it to Forgotten Angels to use as a teaching bike. Offer's there if you want me to do it. Of course, if you mean home from Tampa, no point to it. :) If I rode it back to Fairhope, I'd just find someone who really would appreciate a bike, and give it to them. I don't sell bikes, and I have The Mighty Puck for my personal ride and the Deuce for Jonathan.

Absolutely freakin' AWESOME! And yeah, thing that's been pretty awesome since I started riding my Sportster is random people jus striking up a conversation with me when I've stopped. I'm generally VERY introverted, but when it's about bike stuff, I'm thrilled to chat. It's just friendly and usually non-judgmental. It probably helps that I have a Harley, but am by NO means a Harley snob. I love just about anything on 2 or even 3 wheels, and if what you ride brings you joy, I'm delighted to hear about it! I truly do hope that some day I'll be able to do more miles in a day than the 130 that has been my max, but riding alone makes longer rides more nerve wracking. I doubt I'll ever manage something as amazing as 4000 miles coast to coast, but hopefully some day I'll manage to at least make it to the other end of Pennsylvania! Fingers crossed!

Dude! Silverwings are awesome! #1 it's a Honda, so it's gonna run forever,#2 they make a killer Cafe bike or bobber. And contrary to popular beleif, if you only use premium oil in it and keep the cooling system happy they perform a lot better than you might think! Look at that recline! They actually like that in small doses ( like when you need it)

I live on the west side, Beaverton-so Im in Hillsboro often. Ochoas is a solid spot for Mexican food. It definitely doesn’t snow 6 months here, we get a light dusting and maybe a quick ice storm but every 5-8 years it dumps and a snowpocalypse happens for the better part of a week. BUT, between mid October and mid March it will definitely be gloomy and drizzly with March-june being unpredictable. It’s good motorcycle and Jeep territory for sure! And you definitely did yourself a solid riding the back highway to Multnomah Falls.

Shadetree Shey David, youre all beautiful souls and youre a brilliant man at Bufoonery and raising money for homeless, poor and helping mental health.. Thats fab and spreading luv, awareness and your humility is inspirational. God bless you all and forgotten angels. Youve all for sure saved lives and a great medicine is to thank god for every day. It seems bizarre to see why its important. Being grateful and focusing on thanks to god is a great thing and a healing consciousness. Luv, sharing and understanding the thanks to god on the worst days is the time when you grow the most. The Everest in front of you today will be a blip on the horizon when you look at your past at the end. God bless you and the bikers, workers, families and friends of those suffering and most of all never loose hope or thanks to god. He heals and gives hope even during the doldrums of life when you feel on your own. You may feel alone during the worst times and ask why theres only one set of footprints in the snow but theyll be his because he was always there and he was carrying you at the time.
