We have a 2017 too. We do not remove the back seats they fall directly into the floor. Still plenty of room to store gear. We have a storage on top. We love not pulling a camper anymore. Totally agree with you. Happy trails.

Ohhhh that is a nice feature. You can keep your seats in too in case you need them. Have fun!

❤I think your van is great! Its simple and you have everything you need, I watch vanlife and campervans almost every evening, because I'm believing to get a van and turning it into a tiny home inside, I'm really fascinated by it, thank you for sharing your video and happy camping to you 😊

Good video. Your bed looks so cozy. We had a minivan from before the stow 'n go seats were available; the rear bench was easy to remove. Good camping mattresses (such as the Exped megamat) would also work well. I made a mosquito net for the rear opening using black netting fabric, sewed a fabric tube around the edges and put elastic in to fit over the rubber seal on the back opening. We could leave the lift gate open on warm nights. I think an improvement would be to use about half canvas (or some fabric) with half netting. Minivans are so comfortable and practical for travel. Ours covered a lot of territory, 180,000 miles before we traded it.

Thanks for the ideas! I am curious to know if the center console (between the front seats) can be removed for walking from front to back. Do you know if yours can be removed?
@nathanandtiffany9 ай бұрын
I actually don’t know if it can. That would be really handy. It does not look like it could be easily removed but anything is possible.

what year ??how many miles did it have when you first purchased it ?? any help ABOUT TO BUY. MY FIRST ONE USED !! ANY TIPS CAN YOU SHARE ??

Ours is a 2017. We bought it with 120,000 miles on it and we have put so many miles on it in a very short period of time because we use the heck out of it. It now has 171,000 k miles. The car has been fantastic, and has not given us any difficulty of any kind.

Which newer models let you run A/C or heating? Thanks!
@nathanandtiffanyАй бұрын
I believe all the hybrid ones. There are some good videos on this. The car engine has to turn on and off to charge the hybrid battery. So I certainly wouldn’t use it unless you really needed it because it’s probably going to use about a gallon to a gallon and a half of gas every night. Also may be rude to neighbors. But very helpful when needed.

Can you tell me the brand/type of small camping chairs you mention in your video? Thanks!
@nathanandtiffany6 ай бұрын
Here is the camping chair we use. It is pretty pricey and I don't think its available on Prime. - amzn.to/3UNozD2 That said, I did find one that is comparable and on the cheaper side. They also come in a 2 pack. Single - amzn.to/4bqrXJj Double - amzn.to/4buItbA

What is your favorite bike rack? Thank you!
@nathanandtiffany11 күн бұрын
@@sarasmile184 ours is sooooo old but literally has lasted 25 years. Therefore, we have never purchased a new one. If I did I would choose one that swings open so you can open the hatch without taking the rack off. Ours does not do that and would be a very convenient feature.

In this buildout we can’t. But in the other option we use. (another video on our channel) we keep the back seats in.
@1029steveo11 ай бұрын
I don't think they actually camped in it yet, lol. Notice she put the thin foam mattress on top of the huge metal seat rails the Sienna is notorious for having. Want a miserable night sleeping? Try to sleep in a foam mattress on top of lumpy metal hardware that sticks up severak inches above the floor deck.
@nathanandtiffany11 ай бұрын
We have slept in this set up at least 40 times maybe more. Move the rails all the way toward your feet and you cannot even feel them.

I have run across a couple of threads that say you can reverse the mounting of the 2 rear seats so that they face outward but still can fold down into the floor? It's like a couch that faces your screened in tent or a tent with with screen in patio cover.
