I ONLY do the original p90x. It’s the best and only workout program anyone ever truly needs to get in the best shape of their lives.

This is 100% me. I tried P90X 2 and 3 when they came out in the early 2010s, but I find myself going back to P90X one. I feel like the sequels have too many gimmicks and they kind of go away from what makes the original so awesome even 20 years later. I’ve probably done 15 or 20 cycles of the original. That might be conservative. From like 2008 when I discovered it all the way till like 2012 I was doing cycles back to back to back lol. It’s fantastic
@jun44664 ай бұрын
Same here. I did a few rounds each of P90 1-3 within the last 14 years (with Insanity, RevAbs, and 22 Minute HC in between)..... X1 is the OG of the Extreme series and is the absolute foundation; I ALWAYS come back to this, even though it's the longest sessions. X2 is more sports performance-based routines with a lot more plyo and multi-functional workouts; 30 minutes less than X1. X3 is too short to get a good pump. Once your body get used to 2 rounds of quick intervals, it's already over. 30 minutes less than X2. I didn't sweat as much.

@@chiarosuburekeni9325 It is sustainable long term and can I still do my boxing twice a week for 40 minutes while following the P90X calendar as listed? Thanks!
@JoseGonzalez-gg6rs20 күн бұрын
You are 1000% correct. I actually used P90X as my cousin's "get ready" program for the golden gloves boxing competition last year. Had him follow the classic schedule "as is" in the morning. Three evenings per week took him to the local PAL where all he did was warmup with some shadow boxing, then jump right into sparring 4 rounds 1 more than the competition. This was to prevent him from over training and in short a modified version of P90X "doubles". He won runner up at a ripped 170lbs and I can attribute his performance 85% to P90X 15% to what he did at PAL. P90X is versatile enough to be useful in any environment.

True story: Did this in 2010 when I was 41. Had a trip planned to Hawaii and did not want to be “that guy” in the photos. Day 1: I could barely finish, I literally thought I was dying 😂. Came back for day 2 and just kept showing up. My wife helped me with the meal plan. The craziest thing is immediately after the workout on day 89 my high school daughter asked me if I wanted to go for a run with her 😳. Here is where it gets crazy, I was still dripping with sweat from my workout, I’m not a runner and we were going to run 3.1 miles (5k). I did not break any records but I ran without stopping. Lost 30 pounds. Hawaii photos are good memories. Typing this made me realize it’s time to do it again. X Bring It!!!

Glad you have motivation back but a good workout routine is something you can stick to for life or modify and change in a way that you can do different versions of it for decades. i started p90x back when i was a senior in hs 2012, never finished it lol. tried again freshman year college 2013ish, same result. at one of my lowest points ive ever been in my life i started it a third time at 21 in march 2015, not only did i finish it, but i went on to do multiple rounds back to back, eventually culminating to me being in the literal best shape of my life summer 2017, i will never forget the amount of compliments and people askin for workout tips i got that 4th of july at the pool, the unofficial amateur "body building show" for the year lol. and here i am now turning 31 this year and you guessed it, still doing p90x, still bringing it day in day out. yes ive fallen off the wagon at times n gained weight back but one thing i can tell ur for certain is no matter how bad youve fallen off, the moment you decide to commit to a 90 day session with Tony, youre gonna get back the results, every mf time. whethers its just a couple pounds or 100+ pounds, you show up every day, do your best, forget the rest, faithfully stay on diet. weight literally falls off like butter every time.

I did this program when it was first released. Loved it then, and just bought it again on Amazon for a very low price. Sad to see BODi (Beachbody) move to digital only. I can certainly understand the business model, but perhaps there is a better way if they simply will not physically republish these awesome Tony Horton workouts. Perhaps a digital purchase option instead of a monthly membership. I know I'd rather own something instead of "borrow.""
@TheAbandonedAccount72 ай бұрын
Almost every digital distribution company is simply loaning you a license to the content. Just because you bought it and not streaming, doesn't mean you "own" it. Anyways, this is a non-issue, as every BB workout dvd can be found at any given yard sale, flea market, or good will on any random day for literal few dollars or free.
@shawnpaulzuccarellorizzo2 ай бұрын
@@TheAbandonedAccount7 Actually...no. I was talking about a DRM-free digital download that I have to burn to a disc or hard drive. There are video services like that. I also buy all my games DRM-free too via gog. So, what you are claiming is not entirely true at all. I don't buy licenses....I buy the actual video or software (physical ownership) with full licensing rights to make backup copies and about 32 TB worth of ownership, my friend.. But yeah...I have found all the Horton workouts via Ebay and Amazon.

This program always seems to work (now in 2nd month). I'm not a fit guy I get overweight quickly and the smallest carb just adds to that. But whenever I start these programs, it's like a switch happens where I start becoming conscious of everything I put in diet and physical activity. I also did x3 and insanity max 30. Overall, this one just hits all the categories and is my go to from now on. For extra days where kenpo x wasn't doing it I would add long walks, which add up to 10k steps. 10k steps everyday for 7 days is 70k steps which equals to 1 pound off the scale for me, I'm male 5'6 height. Only issue with program is it's close to 1 hour and that yoga x video is long as heck but it work for recovering. honorable mention: I enjoy body beast but I gain size more which doesn't work for me sadly plus the cardio is non-existent, for me I need cardio or else I get bulky. Where as this(p90x)and the other programs I mentioned earlier gets me lean look I feel fitter too thanks to the cardio mixed in.
