Thanks for the video of calphion. Console here. I can’t even start explaining the side affects of what they did/ didn’t do for console. I’ll save it for your video about the subject. Guild members have said thanks to us but they must find another game and logged off for good. They felt like you were correct that pearl doesn’t listen to na and especially to console. Our house hold is made up of original bdo drop on pc and original drop on console. A 66 year old and 50 year old and 43 year old. The 66 year old has to be close to 20k by now as she dropped 10k in her beginning to get outfitted. The rest of us at approximately 7k each. That all stopped when we realized winter was not coming. We are years behind. No winter all and I mean all promises broken. No magnus, no wells , no hunting in loml and no sniper rifle. Loml broke when it did arrive. PvP on pc was smooth. Console is lagging so much that we couldn’t pvp as it came down to who lags less. So we moved to lifeskill. As you have said oh give em j hammers and they will be like well it’s a step in the right direction. Not this time we are mostly all geared now and are like what do we do with these. Seriously we feel betrayed and the talk in chats is what do we go play while we wait for a year or so . Assassins creed - what ever is going to be better than crimson desert. It will have taken too long to release. Maybe if they come right out and say ps4 is no longer supported but ps5 will be, then maybe the sooner we can get on with it. The visuals of the ps5 at the ball looked like- they shrunk buildings and lessened the amount of grass , in other words data file shrink. I hope it’s not getting ready to sell. Dude listen you can’t in previous videos say pearl doesn’t listen and j lies at the balls and then kiss ass in this video. Do you really think j is now telling the truth about future releases. I await your future videos.

The biggest problem for me from a console perspective is we have literally no idea what's going on. We are still missing MoEW, so who knows when/if we are going to get any of this. No acknowledgement that stuff is coming to console, and literally, the only acknowledgment on the whole presentation was 'PS5 version is proceeding well, test in december.'

I like the idea of what they are trying to do with the hardcore server even if it's not 100% what a hardcore server traditionally is. I think the big thing I'd want is more incentives to do things in the world. I wouldn't be surprised if the first season is a little bit of a mess but I hope they expand on it in later seasons. It also seems like they are trying to prevent grouping which i'm against. I understand wanting to avoid zergs but grouping is a part of MMOs so it's odd to want to avoid it entirely.

Regarding hc servers: As someone who always plays hardcore on every game I think blue is missing the point of this. If we are going to have to start over from level 1 and grind/quest up to the "fun" parts of the game then I think a lot of players will drop away after the first few deaths. The current system allows us to skip the boring bits and start grinding at the more interesting places. Imagine Diablo 4 or path of exile hc had a "checkpoint" where you get to spawn in post campaign and immediately do the fun parts. I don't want to do the campaign for the 50th and waste another day of my life. Leveling means there are bottlenecks and that 100% be griefed with high level players killing low level players and if they try and balance that with a grace period then they might as well have boosted you to save you the day of massive boredom and tedium. If that really bothers you then go do the magnus quest line again each time you die and see how it feels. The jail is a different story though, I have no comment on that because I find the idea cool but not sure how it will be balanced.

I really wish they would update Mediah , I think it is probably the neatest area in the game but other then lower Mediah the Ulikita part I have really no reason to go there. It be so cool if they update it so that people like me coming over from console ( and it was so bad when I started there 3 years ago , I never really got to experience it then either) and have never gotten to experience the Mediah region could. Another thing ai wish they do is Pirate Island! I love the theme there but the trash sucks so bad there is really no reason to go there😢.

I feel the reason for the pvp server is for just that pvp. If we started at level 1 we would have to go through the bs of leveling. Thats not what we want to do we want open world fights and starting at level 60 with decent gear gives us that. There is a punishment for dying but not so much that you start over. Maybe they shouldn't have called it a hardcore server but more like a lawless server but from how it sounds i personally like the way its set up because anyone that goes to this server knows what we are signing up for.

In my opinion it would be insane if the Hardcore mode was implemented like Rust. As Blue said you start with no gear and as you die you have to start over. The server should reset all progress every month, with the final Leaderboard based on kills, gearscore etc. And maybe some good rewards proportional to the effort that people put in it.

The best thing they could do for hardcore servers is to limit the grind zones/continents. Less grind zones = more confrontation. You'd be back to rotation stealing and open world PvP. You'd have to effectively normalize gear so people don't get too much of a leg up, or you'll just have over-geared players wiping a whole server.

I'd say save for sovereign, you can always tap that TET eventually, and it matters less since you're awakening. Also you will get the cool weapon earlier

Just get the main hand since it will greatly imcrease your awakening dmg. Both mainhand awakening share damage. If you're succ 70from mainhand/30 awake. If you're awake 70awake/30maindhand. Just be sure that you grind regularly. If you dont then just keep the free pen bs awakening for sovereing

Literally don’t specifically look forward to any of the “content” covered at the ball ngl. As long as PA refuses to address their shortcomings and failures that have plagued their game since launch the content will all remain just as shallow and mind-numbing as what we have now. What failure? The fact everything is rotten to the core with RNG leaving nothing skill based, so there’s no soul to the game and nothing to truly achieve that can’t be gained through X amount of time spent going in circles. PvP, and by extension Node Wars, was pretty much the only content the game had to offer for players that wanted to take their strategy, skill, and gear and test themselves to see who comes out on top. Now Node Wars are a zergfest to show up for rewards, Siege might see changes too, and basically all other modes are some sort of capped content with modifiers out of the ass, disconnecting you from your main gear you work for. PA has been making PvP much less of a prominent feature, but love it or hate it, I don’t think that’s for the best. PvE is in shambles when taking a closer look at any aspect broader than “run in circles from pack to pack”. Skill is almost completely obsolete, what’s important is the baseline of what class and spec you’re bringing with current balance and having read each skill’s effects a time or two. “Difficulty” only reaches as far as not standing in damage, and sometimes it’s bit damage but they’ll show you some red circles or cones. Look for more than that and it’s scuffed as all hell and once again way more class than skill based. Look at bossing content. Either a health sponge that hits like a wet noodle, or a health sponge that you need to avoid at all costs. Hardly any in-between to be found. And if you go to LoML or Pit dailies we’re back to class over skill and some classes especially in Pit having to basically rely on brute-forcing because mechanics aren’t just difficult to pull off because of how finicky and clunky they are, but more nigh impossible due to CC types on skills and cooldowns. Or same for LoML mechanics either being a breeze or just artificially difficult through being inconsistent to trigger and punished by oneshot mechanics that make dying more of an RNG issue than a skill issue. And in return you don’t get the satisfaction when you “git gud” like in, say, a soulslike for example. It doesn’t matter in BDO, you can be the best and know all the ins and outs of your class but the only thing between you and those inconsistent mechanics in uncapped content is your fat GS. And as a cherry on top definitely don’t ignore the protections issues. SA is SA, but not against most bosses, naturally. You might as well be unprotected against those when trying to use SA skills. So just only use FG.. FG that gets bypassed by pierce skills, AoE, has different widths depending on class, and for whatever reason still sometimes gets bypassed even if and when none of the above apply. Evasion skill also doesn’t properly apply PvE invulnerability for all classes as it should. (Not everyone should have infinite chain like witchzards, but when the skill reads that PvE invulnerability is applied I shouldn’t be getting CC’d by mobs and bosses alike in the middle of it’s animation, yeah?) So more awkwardly blended in Joseon Dynasty culture shock class and content to come, and it taking 5 months with the new class before we start seeing the map expansion content second-hand from Kr after they’ve digested it all the while the same issues will persist? I care about as much as PA cares about developing content broader or more intricate than yet another reskinned group of mobs to turn into silver. Maybe less castle renting budget and more budget for devs. And throw in a testing department while you’re at it. (Fishing stance not rebindable btw, better not have been using that key before for skills and mash it in PvE/PvP now.. nothing screams “I’ll beat your ass” to your enemy like double tapping that button to use a skill and getting immobilised, whipping out your rod instead. Or at the very least getting flashbanged by the selection wheel if you manage to keep your rod tucked.) 2 measly hammers and an outfit box with some concept screenshots for half a year from now (or years.. dungeons, anyone?) wasn’t much to write home about if you weren’t there in person for J’s pleasure trip to irl Heidel. Also to end on a different note, Blue you’re a legend for ambushing J with that Bugatti question for real, that completely sent me

I actually disagree with the dragon mount or flying mounts in general being a permanent feature of the game. It would completely devalue horses and boats and considering how often they give out free stuff eventually everyone would have one and have no need for a horse anymore. I think its cool for top tier guilds to have a reward like that for a certain period of time but not as a feature of the game. I think flying mounts really devalue the world of MMOs. It was cool in WoW at first but the cracks really start to show when everyone is just flying around the map since the map wasn't designed with that in mind.

As someone who’s never earned a Pen BS, I’m honestly not that happy I got one. It makes me feel empty, sure I’m finally 700gs, but I’m still a gearlet. This doesn’t bring me any closer to the geared players, the feeling is like inflation where you have more money but so does everyone else do technically the value of your account hasn’t gone up.
