The elevation is almost as high as Mt. Mitchell. What a beautiful view on a beautiful day. The peace and quiet just envelopes you. I could sit there all day and just relax. Thank you for posting. And yes I'm a Franklin.

I'm guessing by the way you mispronounce Wayah and Nantahala that your not from Franklin or the surrounding area. And no you cant see into South Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee, not sure where you got that information but its wrong. You however see into Franklin, Nantahala, and of a winter when the trees are bare you can almost see into another small town though the name has slipped mine and my husbands minds at the moment. But if you wish to view 3 different states from 1 mountain i suggest you check out Lookout Mountain, which btw i believe you might have confused Wayah Bold for or the person from who you got information from was confused.. However Wayah Bold is 1 of the few wolf sanctuary's in North Carolina and if you go up at night at certain times of the year and park at the Bold (to the right up above the rest rooms) you can hear them sing. I've lived in Franklin all my life and trust Wayah is beautiful, but there are more breath taking area's. I suggest you know your way around a map.. Anyways nice video all the same.

The forestry service literally says you can see the mountains in TN GA and SC.... also ths othet town waaaay off is bryson city
