Well, I am a senior and I just applied for and got my dental plan card in the mail the other day. I too am hoping for a hike in my old age pension. It is only right that we are compensated for the years that WE worked and kept Canada together. IF you expect a change in our pension from the conservatives, then think again. They have NEVER cared for seniors. NEVER. IJust had a stroke two weeks ago and I am very surprised at how little I have to pay for the NINE new scripts I have each month but I was very surprised AND very happy and relieved when I picked them up at the chemist. Groceries? Horrible prices. Government should have stepped in a long time ago. Far too much money going to the grocery conglomerates. Yes, prices are high for them with the produce that we all need - but way too much charged to the consumer. Do not tell me, with the prices of everything, that the grocer is suffering.

@UncleDave30005 күн бұрын
So what if he didn't say anything about Danielle Smith. She understands that energy exports to the US are the biggest source of export revenue for Canada. The Liberals are the ones who created the problem we are currently faced with. By blocking the building of pipelines to the east and west coasts, they have shackled us to the US market. In addition, by having only the US as a market, we are forced to sell at a substantial discount. This makes a lie of Trump's claim that the US is subsidizing Canada. In fact with that discount, it is Canada that is subsidizing the US. If we had other international buyers for our resources, we would be in a position to tell Trump to go pound sand. Contrary to Trudeau's claim that there is no business case for pipelines to the coasts, there are other big markets that urgently want to buy oil and LNG from Canada. Friends and allies (Germany and Japan in particular) who desperately want to stop buying from hostile Russia. But Trudeau dismissed the idea of selling to them. Oh yes, the Liberals and their supporters like to prattle on about how they bought the Trans-Mountain Pipeline, but they did this very reluctantly and only under heavy pressure. But that one line is not enough. More pipelines and alternate markets are needed.

Does he know that the discount is a result of the higher refining costs of WCS and the cost of transportation? Whether the oil moves by train or pipeline, it still costs a few dollars per barrel to ship. Additionally, the US will buy our oil regardless of tariffs. Take 10min to learn about refineries. A heavy crude oil refinery cannot refine WTI or thinner oils. They must buy oil from us, Mexico or Venezuela or go out of business. This is the reason why the US export a majority of their own oil production and imports Canadian oil in the first place. Yes, we could ship the oil oversea but that would only deepen the transportation discount and we would only be able to ship to countries that have heavy crude refineries already in place. Aka, the "hostile regime" of Beijing that he mentions in the video.

Lol… no, Trump is all about submission. Has been all his life. And when people and justice have folded before him, he has gained and learned. He is just the a bully with a lot of power The tariffs will remain whatever Canada does. They are there to pay for the tax cuts for his oligarchs. Because the House won’t agree to increasing the debt. And the plutocrats in his administration are all in on replacing income taxes with high sales taxes. But for now tariffs on imports are the only kind of sales tax that is possible to implement. But he will use the tariffs as a means to bully, perhaps decreasing and increasing them a little bit ”for show” until Canadians and other nations realizes that they are there to stay. There’s no negotiations… perhaps Poilievre is a better actor than Trudeau in fooling the Canadians it is ”sucessfull negotiations”. But it is Trump telling and Canada doing. Unconditional surrender, Because Canadians and Canadian businesses are too weak. Trump know that if gains becomes too small for the corporations they will tell Poilievre ”you have to fold”, and if the price on eggs becomes too high for his voters, he must fold or loose support. Trump is correct: But you haven’t just realized that Canada already is the 51st state.

What he really wants - I suspect - is a much stronger econo-union, and that would go a long way in preventing the return of the Left to any great degree. They can all go and move to Denmark. Trump is quite correct in being concerned enough to take action regarding the Russian and Chinese threat in the arctic. That much is clear. Trump's approach to future negotiations is a sound one. When dealing with a yellow jacket nest, a good way to judge the size of it is to stand -off with a long pole and thump the ground or rocks around the opening to see how active it is. That's what he's doing. It's also a tactic in Sun Tzu's "The Art of War." Scouting the field. PP (Skippy) side saddle talk- a -lot. Must sort out Danielle Smith's separatist rantings and stamp out the Maple Magassholes. Alberta is a valuable asset to Canada now but futures are not looking good relying only on oil with no back up plan. Canada as a whole must diversify collectively. We need a qualified leader who understands the total aspects of economic growth and balance. Someone other than an opportunist side talker.
@lb61109 күн бұрын
@dancyr5821 - you call Pierre "talk a lot"? At this point his position "IS" to speak and when he governs he will prove himself, which I believe is what us Canadians have been waiting for. In fact, he is still in the race with an extensive lead. What is your suggestion? How short is your memory? Haven't you had enough of being robbed of your tax dollars, being told to pay more for gas while king Trudy flies to his exotic vacations on "your" dime, plus listening to the "lying rhetoric" we've also had from him for the past 9 years? Who are you going to vote for Dan?

As an American I won't miss Trudeau even if it means that America's hat won't be the 51st state. Jk. Seriously though, I really like Polievre. Good luck in fixing your economy and getting the woke out!

@shadowbeagle You keep saying "we" as though all Canadians agree with you. 🤣 They don't. Polievre has stated publicly that Canada will never be part of the USA. Canada would be better off joining BRICS. It's that or let a bankrupt country like US buy Canada with toilet paper right before the toilet paper loses value. I think US will need to give up Alaska just as a reparation payment to Russia anyway, then yankee influence can be throw out of the region altogether :) America can be the north korea 2.0

Donny, did you know that, when you exclude oil and gas from our trade with the US, the US has a trade SURPLUS with Canada. AND, that the oil that you get from us trades at a 10-20% discount from your own WTI ?

Are you also gonna give us a 2nd amendment like the USA along with removing restrictions on handguns. A real freedom fighter would remove these restrictions.

He's talked briefly about gun policies but I think there are bigger fish to fry at the moment like making it affordable to eat for the average Canadian.
@BrianAbbott-h4i11 күн бұрын
We don't need hand guns floating around. There is already perfectly good legislation to deal with certain guns. Long guns are not what criminals are using, so leave lawful long gun owners alone.
