I think that people not familiar with the desert think it's just empty sand dunes or bare land. I didn't really know what it was like until I started watching your videos. Hills, washes and all the desert plants are so beautiful. And the sunsets!

I kept watching and thinking you must be at Mitty - finally, you said it! I’ve been hanging in the Yuma area for a couple weeks and not enjoying the really bad wind storm and the moderately bad wind storm we’ve had recently. Sadie is doing great! I got myself a dog here from the Yuma Humane Society a few weeks ago and he’s doing great too.

I have to say that I am NEVER disappointed by your videos! Today, I learned that Yuma is NOT the shit hole I thought it was based on my personal experience and I will visit again thanks to your lovely commentary and video of the area! Who knew? I love that you can find beauty everywhere. Also, I wish you had stolen that Labrador. Clearly he needs a better parent and you are it. Beautiful scenery. I love the desert. I had a golden lab retriever as a kid. My mom would jog with her and when my mom would stop for a car or person, my mom would just gently hold the dogs ear and she would sit and stay. She was the best dog.

I love this site on the lake. It makes me feel like spring is coming sometime. Impressed that you're able to use a powerfull blender and roast vegetables in oven off grid. I don't even know how you do that. I am guessing you have enough solar power. Healthy meal, yum. Sadie is the healthiest dog around.

The oven uses propane not electricity so that helps!!

That's a lot of food in your frig, I'd be thrilled & could make that stretch several days for sure. I can't carry anywhere near that much in my little 16 qt Apicool (all I could fit in my little travel trailer) but things are about to change! I just bought a 28' school bus. I doubt it will be ready to use before March 2024 but I plan to have a real apartment size frig in it. I'll also have 1500 watts of solar and 800 amp hrs of lithium battery power and at least 60 gallons of water.

I got to hang out in Yuma last year too for a couple wks for working the doordash app and then Id spend 2-3 days in the Q and then back to Yuma or Buckeye for doordashing. I enjoyed it except for the really cold nights in my minivan🥶🥶

If a dog is going to be off leash, they need to have a recall, as Sadie does. I have dog friendly dogs and all have recall but I always keep them on leash. I don't trust other peoples dogs unless I know them. Way too many issues have gotten me to this point. Your Sadie is such a good girl! I'd let her play with my pack any day! Thanks for the video! The desert sure is different but i personally need lots of green and trees. I LOVE the woods. Pretty pink fern-ish plants. Sadie is SO WELL TRAINED. You might have to adopt the "other dog". I think he/she is yours now. Doesn't starlink work no matter the "signal"?

I don`t know how to start this. My dog will wonder off any time she sees a woman. I do not know why. I got her as a puppy, and she ran up to me. She will bark if a strange man is around. I've found that even an untrained dog that thinks you are part of their pack will never leave you. When I was very little, my fathers dog wouldn't let him close to me if he was angry. As a teen, I had a German Shepherd and wolf mix, never trained. He was as friendly as could be unless you raised a hand to me. Both were outdoor farm dogs, but they were by my side within seconds of going outside!

What a shame...why can't he keep up?? Obedience training is necessary to keep your dog safe. Not rocket science. Anyone can do it. You have to care about your dog.
