Lol we lose power a lot in my area. In winter I have a fireplace so heat isn't a worry but we clean out the 2 drawers in the fridge and pack them with snow to keep the fridge cold. Frozen foods are okay for at least 24 hours in fridge freezer and 4 days in the big chest freezers if we cover with blankets and don't open. But usually we just run a generator for the fridge and freezers a few hours a day to recharge them.

i miss snow so much when I was a kid my mom and I moved to Chicago and then moved back to texas. I absolutely adored the snow when I lived there, I have fond memories of getting all bundled up to go outside for recess and having so much fun playing in the snow
