Free Solo in Montserrat! Soloing one of the top 10 classics in Catalunya!

On November 24, 2022. Luis Manzaneda fulfilled his dream of climbing one of the most classic routes in Spain, the Punsola-Reniu at Cavall Bernat in Montserrat. The route consists of an initial ramp of 4 pitches up to V+ of typical Monserrat conglomerate and then connects with 3 pitches of 6b+, 6c and 6a where the exposure and the void under your feet is already brutal. It even overhangs in some sections. A total of 250 meters of pure quality climbing in a magical setting, the north face of the mountain.
In addition to climbing the route without a rope, Luis then downclimbed the Normal route to get off the monolith... Unbelievable.

El 24 de noviembre de 2022. Luis Manzaneda cumplía su sueño de escalar una de las vías más clásicas del país, la Punsola-Reniu del Cavall Bernat en Montserrat. La vía consta de una rampa inicial de 4 largos hasta V+ de típico conglomerado montserratino y después enlaza con 3 largos de 6b+, 6c y 6a donde la exposición y el vacío bajo los pies es ya brutal. Incluso llega a desplomar en algunas secciones. Un total de 250 metros de pura escalada de calidad en un entorno mágico, la cara norte de la Montserrat.
Además de escalar la vía sin cuerda, luego destrepó su vía Normal para bajarse del monolito... Increíble.
