@@buckass I used to think so too. But you can only have a debate with someone who is in good faith, and the pushers of this ideology are not remotely in good faith. They are psychopaths. The only thing achieved in engaging with them is that you waste a lot of time and mental energy arguing that human beings cannot change sex, or that 2+2=4 - things which everybody not insane already knows. Probably simple ridicule is the best strategy.

@@intellect1st122 its more the fact that the laws that are being enacted will be able to be used as a loop hole for perverted and paedophilic men to access women and girls. Look at the deeper, long term consequences of liberalising policies which were created for the sole purpose of protecting females. Once male/female divide is eradicated, does not stop a man from declaring his a woman just to go in changing rooms/ female homeless shelters (countless examples of this happening if you google), prisons (countless examples of this happening if you google). This interview has reassured me that there still is intelligent life out there. The "trans" issue reminds me of a passage from 1984: O'brien: how many fingers am I holding up, Winston? Winston: Four O'brien: And what if the party says five? How many then?

This whole thing is Orwellian. I think he must be spinning in his grave. In the case of language he was particularly prescient. You might not believe it, but CRT theorists have now turned their attention to maths and ARE trying to argue that 2+2=5! I really don't see how calling a man with a sexual fetish "she" and "her" is polite. I think it's bonkers, and bowing to manipulation, not to mention insulting to women. Why isn't our automatic reaction to be "nice" to women and not call men "she" and "her"? We aren't "nice" and refer to transracials as "black". Why do women never get the same courtesies as other groups but must be endlessly courteous?

Such a good debate. Not something I would normally give up an hour and half to listen to but have ended up ordering the book. Wouldn't get to hear this in the MSM who have become lazy commentators masquerading as journalists. Real journalism requires real debate from people who have put in the time to understand it. Liked the point that Rugby is a Collision sport not a contact sport and the fact that gay people are having to come out of retirement to re-defend their position. I worry about what young people are being taught but more importantly what they subsequently believe and internalise as they will not be able to articulate their way out of it if they later dont believe in it.

Another point about Hubbard is that when he injured his arm in the Commonwealth games 2016, he was attempting a CW world women's record....on his second lift. AGPs often also have a kink around humiliation....some get off on being clocked as men. Actually it's a shame autogynaphilia, the most common reason for trans, is not mentioned. 34:59 it will be interesting when the balance finally tips and everyone who is currently too afraid to speak out and state the truth about biological sex; that men cannot become women though they can 'feel' feminine. Because this fact is shared by the vast majority of the population. The pushback will be huge and many will feel relieved to be able to express their (not transphobic) opinion. I am concerned that there may be a backlash against genuine transexual people and those in the gay communities and I hope that this doesn't happen. We must ensure that it does not.

24:39 and, indeed LH deliberately failed her lifts and threw the competition. It does NOT mean that male-bodied-TW have a place in women's weightlifting though. LH stole the place of a biological woman in order to compete. Indeed, LH had to formally *qualify* in order to secure the single weightlifting place allowed for NZ, in place of an actual biological woman. LH has been placed on podiums with biological women in the past, taking medals meant for women. IT.IS.WRONG! When will it change, and fairness/reality return to women's sports? Perhaps never if we do not all rise up and challenge the ideology.

The gem arrives late in the episode - ‘A thought - ending cliche.’ Perfect! I remember being incredibly impressed by Thomas Sowell’s similar view that, for example, ‘Diversity is strength’ is a STATEMENT without an ARGUMENT.

Helen did an excellent interview on Ayaan Hirsi Ali's podcast too. All of which are worth a listen regarding trans and women's rights.

@Ellie 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ ✅ BEST REPLY ✅👌 Why is this debate even happening? Most of us will never meet anyone in our lifetime who is transgender!!! Have the right wing nothing else tangible to clutch at? Transgender people makeup 00.002% of the population so keeping rational people scared 😱 seems to be the only way the right can feel relevant. 🤷🏻‍♂️ PRICELESS..~ LOL 😂

Fantastic and important conversation, I’ll be buying Helen’s book. I do not understand why the Trans activists are so against the truth, they should be upset about all the lies that are told not about long understood biological truths. I have an adult son, he loved wrestling and we used to rough and tumble when he was a child, I have a clear memory of him being able to over power me when he was 11 years old, he was shorter and lighter in weight than me but his male physicality was already dominant. I hold no delusions about my physical limitations as a woman in comparison to men, this realisation doesn’t upset me it’s just life.
