Trash picking for e-waste and interesting stuff was pretty good today.
Scrap Steel Free Day as I just wanted to bring home electronics and quick cash flow stuff like cords.

Your SPEX unit is likely to measure the output from optical fiber waveguide which is all the stuff they are throwing under our footpaths. There's lots of optical gratings and lenses.

Tried a quick look up of that watch. Found similar vintage watches and they are worth $1,400 Au so u may want to keep the watch & box for a while. Anyway, great and unusual finds. Can't wait for more. Thanks.

That pc case is an Antec Fusion, boy that one is still a PERFECT case for an audiophile, it just disappears amidst audio equipment with that big dial and the vintage looking lcd screen... I hope you kept it, I am pretty sure it would sell in no time on ebay.

Just amazing to me how much cord can be obtained just by getting out on the first day of pick-up. I liked the giddiness Ben displayed with his "Optical radiation" detector find. Leave it to Ben to find another just like it on the same day.

Hell I would be the navigator,I drive a 200 miles a day now besides he has the luck. But I would definitely put a couple of barrels in the van for small electronics and wire. It must be a mess to untangle from the rest of the stuff when he gets home.

Same with Utah, it’s like $55/ton ($0.02/lb +/-) so some strategic dumpsters have to be close to home or near the route to and from work, not too out of the way. Always scanning for a construction dumpster en route to wherever. We don’t have it easy like Ben where it’s all out on the curb house after house. I’d go to Australia just to do a ride along and help!😄

I know a way you can get rid of those annoying security cameras you have in one of your bins take them to the transfer station and drop them off in one of the Big E waste bins just to finally get rid of them if you want and then you won't have to deal with them ever again

That PC with the dial on it is probably a PC modified for a specific task as some sort of mechanical controller. I used to use something like that when I worked at JDS Uniphase aligning fiber optic couplers.

Yeah I googled the watch that you found and the price is anywhere from $899.00- $1500.00 ! It's not a cheap watch . The name is an indication of an expensive brand . Very nice find , much better than a PC !
