I will reply about the guitar itself Michael, as it is almost certainly a Fylde Alchemist by the look of it. Label is right for Fylde and the size and shape look right for an Alchemist. I almost bought one once but decided upon a Lowden instead in the end, largely because I could find a used Lowden, whereas used Alchemists are almost as rare as rocking horse poo. They are very nice and, like most British or Irish guitars work well in more humid environments (whereas some 'good' USA made guitars don't. Some just die on humid days. Some, but, by no means all. I have an American guitar and a Canadian guitar currently that do not fade on damp days and I have no idea why some do and some don't. Anyone else found this?).

I had two slight problems with this at first. The first was getting the thumb snap on 6th consistently obvious - I would either damp it much of the time or hit the 5th. The second was grabbing the EbmDim fast, given that it takes four fingers. I have always had problems with this dim shape, and so here I used a Ebm7b5 as a brief passing chord as I find the latter easier to grab. The move from Ebm7b5 to EbmDim is easy and can always be eliminated later, except that it does not sound 'wrong', to my ears at least. Some people play this in drop D; I can't quite decide. Thanks Jack.

The only problem I have with his tutorial is that he slows it down so slow for every nuance that he uses in his particular rendition of the song. No offense, its quite good, but I just want to, for the most part see the chord changes straight through. The intro was ok. But. I can figure that out in some fashion even if it isn't as particular. However, I do quite appreciate his great finger picking in this version.
