I love your videos. You’ve given me the confidence to do my own rv repairs. We could have the chance to buy a 20 year old camper. It needs a roof, and the sidewalls are delaminated. If we would have it for say 20 more years. Would it be worth it in your mind to do this? Because that’s still cheaper than a new junk camper. Also, if it has a EPDM or TPO roof, could I do a fiberglass roof instead? Seems it would last longer.

Just my two cents as the former owner of a delaminated trailer, but I'd never touch an RV with a roof that was leaking long enough to delaminate the walls. The entire inner structure is now rotted, rusted, and full of mold. You'd end up rebuilding the thing from the ground up. I would consider something that far gone as a parts vehicle- maybe swap everything into a bus conversion? As a bonus, stripping it down for parts would teach you a lot about how they're put together. Finally, brands matter. Some makers simply build them much better than others. Choose one with a fiberglass (or metal) roof and you'll be happier over those same 20 years. We quickly forget paying more for quality; but never forget however much we pay for junk.
