Ahnald, the Malak glitch, from what I remember, was a bug created by CG, so banning people for CG's internal mistake wouldn't have been appropriate. This is more in line with the time where people could buy 3rd party crystals. I don't remember if people were banned for that, but it's a lot closer to what happened today than the Malak error.

People were definitely banned for that. I went to bat for my guildmate/officer who was adamant he hadn't ever cheated and the ban was a mistake. Turns out the third party crystal thing is what he did.

If it was a Robin Hood, he'd be doing it for free. He's trying to profit from it, which just makes him a thief. I'm not feeling much sympathy for EA or CG, given their history, and I definitely don't feel any of the person who did this, since they're likely to profit from this and knew what they were doing was illegal. I feel sorry for the players who didn't participate in this fraudulent activity, and will likely end up getting screwed over by CG/EA as they try to recoup any lost profits.

In this situation, people are using a 3rd party to purchase in-game items (whether it's characters, gear, crystals, whatever), in a manner that is unlikely to be sanctioned by EA, and is therefore a violation of the terms of service. The TOS indicates that they are allowed to ban people without warning, and quite frankly, people who did this and do get banned shouldn't be surprised or require a warning. CG tends to treat their customers like garbage, but this isn't the right way to respond.

I spent big money in this game but due to CG's silence on any type of cheating I quit spending. He's definitely a good character, he's just the worst GL in general. He can beat the others on offense, and he gets beaten on defense, which is pretty par for the course for GLs, but on defense you can beat him consistently with non GLs which makes him not quite as good as the others, who are harder to beat. Additionally, he's not as good in raids or other parts of the game as the other GLs are. Despite this, he's currently the most expensive GL in the game. While he's not trash, his return on investment isn't nearly as good as the other GLs, which is why people say he's bad.

I literally got an swgoh ad during the video. Seems like CG is milking the game in every way they can. Apart from that this hack issue is just stupid, because if this dude is really an exec then there's something wrong than an exec want to do this (which it's illegal). The only way CG can make go back at the game is if they put everything into 1 Cristal value like what happened on SW Commander Wanna buy 10 shards of Mando? 1 Cristal. Wanna get datacons pieces? 1 Cristal. And then give back the money to their loyal players. CG has already ruined themselves, at least the community know what's happening and have an actual brain, not like those guys from GTAO 🙄🙄. Problem is, we do not get nearly as many legendary events anymore. The game used to get multiple legendary events in a year. That is not the case anymore unfortunately. Plus, back then there were no gear requirements for legendary events like Padme and C3 which made it more exciting to come up with a minimum gear strategy whereas nowadays there are requirements for gear and relic. I do agree, the game was better back then but nothing I can do to bring those days back. I still do make the most possible out of the occasional special events with fun intros, costumes, music, etc but the game does not have those events often anymore.
