Sacroiliitis is an inflammation of one or both of the sacroiliac joints Vs. Ankylosing Spondylitis is chronic inflammatory condition, Ass. w/ HLA-B27 which involves stiffness, fusion (ankylosis) of axial joints, which commonly affects Sacroiliac, apophyseal joints of spine which restricted spinal mobility; SO, Sacroiliitis is a part of or can be part of Ankylosing Spondylitis ... hope that helps
