I think I need to take more advantage of the HGVC packages for owner updates. I've done three....and it's basically the same routine. The packages are cheaper when HGVC calls you about the opportunity vs. when you sign up with Hilton Honors. I gotta learn to negotiate more points somehow!

I always ask for double what they offer. They often give me 10k more than the initial offer. Also ask for more when you book the room.

If one could recruite timeshare sales presenters into Amway, that would be taking this game to the next level.

As a resale owner, do you always get offered an owner update when you stay at places or do they shy away because you own resale?

@@timesharetraveler So far, I've been targeted for updates every time with Wyndham. I doubt that will go on forever. Hilton has always offered, even staying at former DRI properties through Hilton Honors. I'm probably blacklisted with HGVC now, when changing our date they asked if I was an owner. After admitting that I wouldn't be in April, so they cancelled my reservation and refunded it, claiming they were no longer interested.
